Hi all

I think the title says it all really - I'm a bit vague as to where you can wear your wedding dress once the ceremony and reception are over. :confused3

I know you can't wear it in the parks, but can you in places like Downtown Disney? It would be so cool to go clubbing in it!! Is it literally just the theme parks that are a no-go? If we wanted to go on one of the speciality cruises to watch the Epcot fireworks, could we do this or do you have to physically enter Epcot to go on such a cruise?

I'm paying so much for it that I really want to get my money's worth!! :teacher:

Any advice - or also suggestions for other places we could go/things we could do while still dolled up - would be great.

Thanks,

Toyah

PS How do I get one of those countdown things at the bottom of my message? They're cool!

As far as I know, there should be no problem wearing it on a specialty cruise. Me and my fiance thought about getting that romantic one with strawberries and champagne for after our wedding. I never even thought that I might not be able to wear the gown there.
About downtown disney, I am not sure. My first guess would be that it is ok, but who knows! I am sure someone on here does!

ive phoned disney about dresses on the cruises and they said its fine.
i'm the same, i'm paying £700 (about $1200) for my dress so want to get as much use out of it as possible!!!! :earboy2:
and you get the countdowns on the technical board of this site. (go back to the forums list). it'll tell you exactly how to get one

I asked my sales manager that exact question and she said it is a no go in all the theme parks with Epcot being a question mark. She said that the reality of marriage takes away from the fairy tale theme of the parks. She said Epcot allows them, but mostly only if you have an event planned. She said PI definitely allows them. ...But I wasn't so sure of going to clubs with a gown on?

well, i know you can't wear your dress in the parks while they are open. that's a big no no in disney's eyes. you're only allowed in the parks in your wedding attire if you have scheduled a portrait session before park hours. that much i know.
