Tell Bill that I think Green is his color and you need to get him an identical hat for the next trip. Just think of the shade!!!

I wish we were going at the same time but I wouldn't be going in Aug either except for this wedding!! I am looking into booking a trip for the whole family. Maybe with free dining.......... Hmmmm........

Speaking of dining do ya'll get the DDP each time or have you found it's better out of pocket? I'm looking for advice for this trip.

Hi LeeLee, I hope you and your family are doing well. We always get the dining plan, it is just easier to have the food paid for a head of time. It just puts my mind at ease.

Now a life update.....

I am sorry I haven't been around much lately, I have had some things weighing heavily on my mind. It is close to the anniversary of my Mom's death and I always get down during this time of year but that wasn't the only thing.

My son, 19, got into trouble with the law last summer, he got caught with pot. I have seen a real change in him since this happened, he has seen that something stupid like this can affect his entire life and he has changed, thank goodness.

My xh and I got divorced when Josh was 12, he was devastated by it. The divorce and the fact his father just decided not to even see him for the first year after it had a profound affect on him. I have felt guilty for all the problems he has had. I know, I know I am not all to blame, but he is my child and I feel that way.

Back to the court issue, he is on probation. We had planned on taking him, his g/f, and her 2 kids to Disney with us in December. He has a court date at the end of this month It is either pay or appear, he has paid about 1/4th of the fine so far. They might extend it or he might go to jail. If that happened a felony would be on his record. If he pays off the fine it would be expunged (sp).

Why am I telling you all this? I have had a constant headache for a month and nothing could get rid of it. I wasn't even looking forward to Disney this year and Bill knew something was very wrong with me. I have been very depressed.

Bill and I talked this morning and decided to pay off Josh's fine. He will be paying us back monthly on this. As soon as the decision was made my headache went away. I am giving him one last chance to fix his life .



As for Disney, there will be a "family trip some time in 2010. Bill and I will be going this year, just looking at prices and dates. I will inform you all after a decision is made, then you can watch us change it about 3 times at least .

Tracy, I'm so glad you are feeling better. Being a parent to an adult child who has a father who never cared about him (we divorced when my son was 2 and he's now 28) I completely understand your guilt and worry.

My son has also had some troubles (a DUI instead of Pot) and I've been there to support and help him. He recently got engaged and is house hunting and finally seems to be growing up now. Some would say I have enabled him but at the end of the day, when I go to bed, I have to be able to live with myself. I think all any of us really want is for our children to be happy.

My husband has been very supportive through all of these years (we've been married for 25 now) and I'm really glad you have Bill who obviously loves and supports you.

We may not be going to WDW until 2010 either as we are putting the down payment on my son's house and due to all of the foreclosures here, we have to put 35% down. So I'll be waiting for your next TR to give me that Disney fix.

Between you and Pakey I am crying . Thank you both for being so sweet. I miss my Mom like I lost her yesterday. Josh doesn't even know we have made this decision yet. I want to tell him face to face. He is looking at the college in his area and wants to start classes either this summer or fall. I pray he goes through with it.

As my own kids get older (high school & college now) the problems get bigger and sometimes not ones you can remedy too easily.
