Where do you want to live when you retire? Why?

In the dreaming catagory I would say Montecito CA. In reality maybe right here with trips to warm places in the winter months.

We wanted Siesta Keys..................but decided that would be too far from our kids/grandkids..............being as kids often settle in the state they go to college in and often go to college in the state they graduate high school in and we won't be retiring before that!

So, we had decided San Antonio. We love Texas, weather or not, and it's got some great history, which we love to immerse ourselves in, and really great culture there.

We'll stay right where we are now. I like all the seasons. I could see going south for maybe a month in the winter, but not much longer than that.

I would love to move to the Arkansas Ozarks today or at least some fairly mountaneous area. I love mountains and the clean air and nature and all of it. I want to get out of the city!
