Stupid question. We are renting a scooter for my mom who has a bad back from an outside company. I am not sure how to get to the park from the parking lot with the scooter. Does it go on the trams?? Probably not so that means we have to walk with my mom and her scooter?
TIA
I used a scooter but as i do not have a disability badge for the USA i asked at the entrance booth where you pay for the parking and he directed me to the disabled parking bays and said i could park my car there as long as it was not in the designated disabled bay, there are non disabled bays there not sure if they are like the annual or premium bays . the distance is drivable in a scooter as it is the closet to the park entrance and you do not need to board the tram
I know that, at least at WDW, the Canadian hang tags and the UK Blue Badge will be accepted just as the State hang tags. If you have one you will be allowed to park in disabled parking.
All the parking lots are patrolled by the Orange County Sheriff's Office and if you park in the medical parking you are subject to a ticket with a $250 fine. (And if you have a rental car and don't pay the ticket they bill the rental company and they will charge your credit card.)
If you do not have a tag normally they will direct you to a spot near the end of the row or to Diamond Parking, which is close to disabled.
But you definitely cannot take an ECV (or non-folding wheelchair) on the trams.
Thank you for your suggestions. We do not have a disability sticker since my mom is fine for short walks its just all the walking at the parks that is causing her to rent a ECV for our trip.
