Where do you make a complaint about something dangerous in the parks?

I do remember the only time things felt unsafe at WDW, on our first trip, was trying to leave MK down Main Street after Wishes. It did feel like there could have very easily been a "stampede" trampling occurrence if something scared a large number of people towards the back or front of the crowd. I remember thinking This doesn't feel very "Disney" right now. We had our little kids' hands held pretty tight.

We have never left MK down Mainstreet right after Wishes. We like to linger where we are for a while even if we are leaving. We let the masses surge out and then after about 30 minutes or so we stroll out at our leisure. It's a much better ending to the day.

Old Lady typically will open a thread with a most unusual subject and then never respond to any questions asked by subsequent posters. I always feel so foolish when I respond to one of her threads, and then realize who posted it.
Ugh. I fell for it.

After our first experience trying to leave right after Wishes, this is our standard m.o. now too. We love getting an ice cream and letting the crowds disperse.

My whole family is short, so I don't like that sea of humanity feeling when leaving a big event. The solution is to just wait 10-15 in your seats before leaving. At MK after the fireworks, we just browse in the gift shops on Main Street for that same amount of time. Easy peasy solution.

One of my more interesting experiences was having been at Disneyland during an earthquake. All of the shows were cancelled, and all the rides shut down. I was standing in line at Big Thunder Mountain, and Fantasmic had just started. I felt the ground shake and thought that there was some powerful pyrotechnics going on. But, the crowd exiting Disneyland, even under those circumstances was very orderly, and I didn't feel endangered by the crowd. The possibility of another, stronger tremor, yes, but not the crowd. It took a little longer than normal to get back the hotel, due to the crowd.

Well that sure adds a new wrinkle to the dilemma. Would you rather:
1. Be consumed by fire.
2. Be trampled to death by the stampeding hordes.
3. Risk having your brain destroyed by the brain eating amoebas in the water.

Option 3 actually looks not bad.
I thought the amoebas were in the natural bodies of water? Otherwise, it would affect pools etc (I know they treat with chlorine, but I wouldnt think it was in the fantasmic water due to the spray and the possibility of people getting wet? They must treat the water?)

mum, you're forgetting that body of water has the ability to become a lake of fire, so now you're burning AND having your brains eaten simultaneously.

Yes, count me in as a person who sits back and lets the crowds disperse. I wait for like 20 minutes and make my way towards the exit. By the time I get to the bus stop it will be clear sailing.

As stated by PP, this is no different than any other major event or function where a mass of people are exiting at a given time (example: convention centers, theaters, arenas, stadiums, etc..). In addition, any safety precautions, fire code requirements, and emergency exit plans, etc. would have already been put in place as required by building and public safety codes before the amphitheater even opened. Not to mention, the amphitheater opened in 1998 so I am sure it has been through MANY fire code inspections over the years to ensure the right safety and emergency exit procedures are in place.

If it makes you feel any better, as far as emergency exits at this venue, the amphitheater DOES in fact have additional emergency exits that could be opened in the event of an actual emergency evacuation, one of these exits is located on the far left corner of the amphitheater that leads to a backstage exit area. So the exits in the back and right side that are used as normal exits during a regular show are NOT the only exits.

As stated by PP, if you feel that there was a legitimate safety concern at the time that you were there then you should have reported it at that moment to a manager in the area of the show or Guest Relations. If you insist you could send an email to the WDW Guest Communications email listed by PP above but this email is more so for general complaints and issues, it will be nearly impossible for them to validate your concerns from that particular night and you will likely a receive a generic corporate response if any.
