Where do you go for a little peace and quiet?

Other than your room, that is. I'm thinking the Grand Floridian Cafe, the 4th-floor deck at WL, the walking trail to FW, FW itself, quiet pools, a few strategically located benches at SSR and in the soon-to-be Disney Springs. POR has some nice waterside spots, too. Poly used to. Some of the DVC lobbies look peaceful in pictures. Where do you go for a quiet walk or to sit with a cup of coffee or to see flowers and such far from the madding crowd? Is there anyplace IN the parks? Favorite places outside the parks? Evening spots (indoors or out)? Restaurants/lounges? Thanks for offering your ideas.

Inside the parks I always find places around Epcot that are quiet. Some of my favorites are the garden/pond area out in front of The Land (if you know where the Roasted Nut cart is, right behind that). I looooove the quiet area around the Living Seas nearby the exit, because the music is so peaceful and it's nice to just sit and take a breather there.

In World Showcase I like to have a drink at Rose & Crown and people watch at one of the tables. There's some quiet seating in France as well.

YMMV on these areas, though lol. I typically go during low crowd times so I don't know how crowded they get regularly. :)

The beaches at CBR are great for relaxing and recharging. I've always had luck grabbing a drink and sitting by the fountain in Epcot too.

Really early mornings out and about at any of the hotels. I enjoy walking the whole path around hourglass lake when staying at Pop. At the Magic Kingdom, if you go at the right time, it is surprisingly quiet up on the landing of the train, overlooking Main Street. At Studios it is fun to go grab some fries or a snack to share at Backlot and find a table out of the way of everyone else. At EPCOT go at an "off time" of day and get a snack in Japan and find a quiet spot by the Koi pond...

I like this location out of the parks, the porch at Crocketts Tavern at Fort Wilderness. Here is 5 minutes for you to enjoy:

In the parks, that restaurant in Adventureland (across from Pirates) that serves tacos that never seems to be open. One of the portals for Sorceror's is back there, bit there is a little courtyard, lots of tables and so close, yet so far from the crowds.

I would have to think about the other parks. We have been doing MK mostly.

4th floor at Contemporary where there is an abundance of comfy couches and coffee tables.

AKL - the savanna viewing areas off of the main lobby to sit in rocking chairs and view the animals on the savanna.

BWI - the Bellevue Lounge.

DHS - the patio/seating area of Starring Rolls after Starring Rolls has closed for the day.

MK - second level of the Train Station to sit overlooking Town Square.

Early morning walks between POFQ/POR, Pop/AoA, Boardwalk loop.

There's upstairs seating at Columbia Harbor House that folks don't often use (oreven know it's there!). It's a nice, quiet, air conditioned spot to grab a quick bite,
You beat me to it!

Not exactly "quiet" but sometimes the boat launches from/to MK can feel surprisingly peaceful and relaxing to me.

I love The Grand Floridian Cafe for an early 7:30am breakfast. It is very quiet and a great way to start the day. I also find the rocking chairs in Frontierland by the water to be very peaceful! I always find time to make my way over there to just sit and take it all in. I'm a morning person, I wake up for work everyday at 4am so in Disney I am up by 5:30-6am. I love just going for a walk around the resort. I am the only one who is crazy enough to be up that early but it is so nice and relaxing. In Epcot, the pathway from WS on the Canada side that goes over to the Imagination and Land pavilions- this walkway is so nice and quiet. I walked it twice in November and realized it was the first time I ever remember taking that way.

We have a kiddo that has a hearing loss and major background noise bothers him. A CM at guest services gave us a map of quiet places in the MK, and when we tried to utilize them, it turns out they are all smoking areas. So, we improvised. We took off to Tom Sawyer's island. It was super quiet and peaceful. Our kid was able to get a 'listening' break while playing checkers with his sibs and dh and I sat in the rocking chairs to watch the world go by. Ahhhhh. :)

We enjoy a lot of the places already mentioned. I'll just add that the animal trails at Animal Kingdom can be very quiet.

MK: I'm a history buff who personally looooooves the hall of presidents. If I need to recharge I'll sit and enjoy a show or two :)
Epcot: My favorite part of the whole park is the tiny little tucked-away corner in the France pavilion. If you need to cool off, you can enjoy some ice cream and sit at a table and it's just perf
AK: Rafiki's Planet Watch and the nice little train ride over can be quiet at times. And you get to pet some sheep and goats!
DHS: Starring Rolls after it's closed for the day, like another PP said. Or just take a boat ride over to the Boardwalk and enjoy some peace and quiet there :)

Oh. In Epcot, his favorite spot was a bench on the walkway from Test Track back towards the world showcase (on the way to the bathrooms/baby care center).

We didn't really find a great spot at HS, but we took a break waiting for Charaterpalooza by the ToT exit--there is a little covered area behind the coffee cart with benches. It was pretty peaceful until right at 2:30 when other families showed up for Charaterpalooza. It wasn't ever super quiet, but it served our needs to let him recharge.

AK--he liked the Dino Dig. The play area was noisy with lots of kids but the dig area was peaceful. There was music playing, but it was music, not just noise. :)

I have taken a couple naps in the back of Japan before. It is some kind of art exhibit.

These are all such great suggestions! Thank you so much for taking the time to respond, and even to post a video. I'm excited to slow down enough to check out a few of these places, many of which I have raced past countless times to get to the next ride. Lots of collective wisdom here that we can all benefit from.

Those rockers in Frontierland used to be a great place to sit and relax...until Disney turned that area into a DSA. :sad2:

I didn't know the actual rocking chairs were apart of the DSA, I just thought right in front of that was the DSA but it doesn't matter either way because the smoke is right there.

Aunt Polly's porch on Tom Sawyer's Island. Actually, all of TSI! If you want a serious break imo there is nothing better than AKL-Jambo. Lots of quiet viewing areas inside and out. The boat rides between resorts are a nice break. You can hop on one at MK or HS too.
