Where do you get your food allergy/intolerance friendly snack foods?

Hi!

It's been a little while since I posted on this forum, but I'm always reading the posts and have found this to be one of the best resources around for food allergy info in relation to WDW.

However, since we can't live at WDW :confused3, those of us with food allergies/intolerances or our kids are always on the lookout for places that make coping with food allergies/intolerances easier.

My 8yo ASD son is gluten, casein, egg, and soy intolerant. My adult nephew also has had a severe peanut allergy since he was a toddler. He's now in graduate school studying for his MBA and he is currently focusing research on how the american marketplace is responding (or not responding) to the rise in food allergies/intolerances as well as to the rise in folks who eliminate common foods as a lifestyle choice. Part of his research relates to where folks currently get their food allergy friendly snacks as well as where folks would like to be able to find food allergy friendly snacks made available (so that moms don't have to always lug around the prepacked food from home, especially if going to the mall or traveling through an airport).

He has developed an anonymous ONE minute online survey to try and capture this data and has asked me to circulate it if I can. Since this survey is for educational purposes only and is also for a young adult who has had many a safe meal at WDW over the years, I hope that it is okay to ask in this venue that if you have a moment, please click over and help him with his research.

Again, the survey is anonymous, very fast, and it will be used for his educational purposes ONLY. You can search my username and see that I am a legitimate user of this site for several years, so this is not some gimmick to try and sell you something or get your information. I just want to try and help my nephew and his research.

You can find the survery here:

Thanks so much for helping him out and also for the great resource that you continue to be for me. :cloud9:

We found vacationing in the Denver area and in Canada, BC two of the most friendly places for GF food.

Thank you to those who have responded!!! My nephew reported an uptick in responses after I posted. I knew I could count on the DIS members!!!

He's only 20 responses shy of his research goal!!

So if anyone else out there can spare ONE minute to answer his survey (for educational purposes only), he and I would greatly appreciate it!!

Ya'll are the BEST! :cheer2:

Done; I hope the post will keep it bumped to the top of the thread list!

I would love to see the results of his survey when it is complete. Can you post a link to it when he finishes?

Great idea! I'm curious as to what the data will show, too. Will do! :cool1:

Oh, and for anyone else willing to take the survey, my nephew says he will keep it open for another week or so and then he goes into data analysis.

Here's the link again, just in case http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7DKBG5N

Hope everyone's enjoying the long weekend!
