Where do you begin scrapping each trip??

My latest first page from our April 2005 trip. Ignore the little piece of paper on the tag, I blanked out DS6's name.
ETA: ignore the messy counter too, you didn't see that. LOL

What a cute front page, Buffy! I did something similar to that for the front page of my Parks section but I LOVE the way you did the numbers and info. So cute!!!

I want to register before going to WDW, even though we're only going to the crops and the vendor fair. If you'll be at the Friday or Saturday night crops, do let me know.

:)

I haven't done a crop from there yet because I usually just drive up for the day but my neighbor might go with me so we might stay the night. Her Aunt lives in Lowell though so we may end up staying there so we don't have to pay for a room. We still have time to decide though!

Thanks! I wanted something different and I really wanted to use that Mickey vellum. I've had if for almost 2 years now. I was going to journal but the 4 parks etc was a play on the Priceless commercials. They have been stuck in my head lately. The hardest part was getting the pics to fit. DH tends to crop too much with the camera so I didn't have much room to trim.

WOO HOO my first Double quote! HEHE took me this long to figure out how to do it! LOL:cool1:

Loopner67- you've helped immensely knowing you have 34 pages, and are only half done. I think I was feeling I had so many pictures I want to keep, but need to fit in to 2 albums, but I don't. I can make 6 albums if I want. It is my sons first disney trip, and I want to remember every minute. :cloud9:

Thanks again everyone for the help.:thanks: I'm sure I'll be seeing you around this board.:wave2:

So I just counted and the grand total when I'm finished my WDW 2004 album will be... drum roll please......

:rockband:

95 pages and 359 pictures in 2 albums. Plus the 30 or so pics in the ABC album.:cool1: :cool1:

My in-laws live in Tewksbury, so we usually sleep there and save our money for the vendor fair! :thumbsup2

I just wanted to jump in here and add "my way". ;) I've only been to WDW once (second trip in the planning)....but for my albums I normally scrap chronologicaly and always do two page lo's...I just can't stay away from that method. BUT for my vacation albums I do tend to 'blur' time a little bit more. I LOVE the idea of a into page....that alwasy seems to be my hardest page..so I tend to start my album one page in (so i'm doing a 2 page lo first) then go back to the first page once I'm done or well on my way. I'll like picking diffrent photos that highlight the trip and sorta give you a sneek peek as to what you'll find inside the album.

After that I'll break down in groups...staying in chronologic order as much as I can...like how we got there (air, car) our hotel/resort, dinner that evening, the "first" actual day....broken down into sections, according to where we went...for example on our trip to the world we went to MK the first day and started in Adventure land...so one of my first MK lo's is of all the things we did in that land...and so on. Untill I worked all the way around the park. Of course some rides to warent a whole double page lo to them self. I tend to take a TON of photos and like to scrap alot of them....:rolleyes1

I swore this last trip I was going to go about it a diffrent way so I didn't end up with SOOOO many pages. But it didn't happen :confused3 Maybe some day I'll be able to scrap one double page lo for each land...and/or park.

Bernardandmissbianca, I love that intro page you did. I have those four park frames that go with my album, and hadn't thought of using them together, but it's so cute. And 95 pages sounds doable for me too.:rotfl: I did 4 pages for half a day. I am loving it.

I officially have started, and I am hooked. I wanted to go to AC moore today, but my son was not in the mood, so I'm going to try to get there after work tomorrow before I pick him up. I took out all my pics last night and started scrapping and made this page, and then did 4 pages from typhoon lagoon. They are pretty simple, but I hope to lewarn more in the near future. It is so much fun. I need to invest in something for lettering. I'll have to check out things at ac moore.

Your title page is cute! Your son is at total cutie pie! Love the :mickeybar !!

I forgot to add that in my 2004 trip I ended up doing it by park but I did go in a chronological by time. All the day pics go together, then a 2 page LO with day and night, then night pics of the castle and then wrapping up with wishes. Epcot goes in order of country starting in Mexico and ending with Illuminations and the Fountain. Hmm never thought about it but I don't think we have shots of the fountain during the day. Anyway, it gives you some more ideas.

Yes 95 pages is doable, I just wish I had it finished earlier. We have 4 WDW trips to scrap for 2005, and we took 5000 pics in Dec alone. And yes I scrap them all. :scared:

These are GREAT!!!! Countdown page is really cute and those are really great shots at Typhoon Lagoon. How did you get such good pictures there? I am afraid to take my real cameras, I only take a disposable waterproof and they are not very good pics. Congrats on posting the pics and I hope to see many more!!!

Thanks Bernardandmissbianca, the mickey bar pic was my favorite too. Maybe it was because I couldn't wait to have one. I think I had about 4, and they were sooooo good. I like the idea of day and night lo too.

Thanks Michele. I took the pics in the lazy river with a waterproof disposable. I had my camera (Sony cybershot) in the locker and after lunch brought it out for a while but kept it in a ziploc bag (thanks to the Dis) and took it out for pics mainly on those 2 little waterslides. The kids loved them and each went down probably 20 times. You can really tell the difference in the pictures.

Last night I scrapped 4 pages from Epcot, since I had the least pics from there, but I think I'll have at least 4 more pages. It's so much fun, and now I'm doing less pictures on the pages, and more embellishments. I got to Ac moore today after work, and only spent 50$. I could have spent so much more, but it was good to go and have ideas and my pictures in my head and plan some layouts. All the stickers are 40% off, so I got some great disney ones. Thanks again everyone for all your help and tips.

I know I'm late to the party, as usual, but I just wanted to chime in. I am one of those really anal people, so I always scrap chronologically. Even if we go back to the same park later in the trip, it goes in again, wherever it was chronologically (I don't group the park together, if that makes sense). I'm like B&MB, though, I end up with TONS of pics. I am still working on my June 2006 album (the "album which will not end"). We were there 9 days (with KAMommy, her DH, DS, & DD). I have done 70-something pages--140 something "sides", and I still have about 20-30 pages left. We may never be able to look at it, since it will take a forklift to lift it, but it's all there! :rotfl2:

Buffy, I LOVE your cover page. I did something similar to that for our June album. I'll try to find the pic.

mikamah--I love your countdown page. DH & I don't have kids yet, but I still do the monthly countdown to the trip (DH would tell you that DAILY I remind him how many days it is!--48 and some hours at this point! ;) )

I found the pic of the cover page for our June 2006 trip. Here it is:

I may never finish doing the album, but maybe I can just stare at the cover page! :rotfl2:
