Where did you get your best Keurig machine deal?

You folks are not going to believe it but before I heaved my old "broken" keurig into the trash, I gave it one last try for closure's sake. The damn thing worked fine! I have no idea what was wrong with it this morning. It was pouring water from the brewing part, back into the reservoir, brewing half a cup, stopping, then a full cup spontaneously, the cup-size lights were randomly blinking.....I mean it was WONKERS. There was no way I though it would work right ever again.

HTH do I explain a new $165 Keurig to DH when our old one works fine now? Oh, for Pete's sake!

HEHEHE, just store it deep in a closet until enough time has passed and he forgets about the big $165 sticker shock. Eventually pull it out and say you found it at a garage sale or something for cheap. You bought it for back up...

As for the dorm room, the B40 has a 6oz and a 9oz selection. You still have to refill before you can use the last bit of water. It's annoying when I know there's more than enough for a cup.
I'd tell her to keep a couple one gallon jugs of water near by. There's many of those water refill stands, that fill up a jug for around 25 cents. That way she doesn't have to do much other than take the lid off the reservoir and fill it. One reservoir fill lasts me about 2 days.

For those having trouble with their brewers, try this... "Descale" your machine twice and switch to using distilled water.

Mine kept messing up (stopping during brewing/only brewing a partial cup) and I always used "filtered" water and the water in our city is pretty good in general... I did the descale once and still messed up, I was just about to kick it to the curb and decided to desacle one more time... Keurig rep also suggested I use distilled water, well what do you know the thing has been working great for about 6 months now no problems whatsoever!!

I got my Keuring B60 at Sam's Club last month for $143. It included 60 K cups and a My K Cup. I think the My K Cup goes for 15 alone, so it was a good deal. I absolutely love it - and have used it tons, as have my kids.

Check with the college - the dorms my daughter is headed for indicate that they cannot have any type of coffee makers in the room.

I purchased mine at Kohl's - it was about $30 off & I had a 20% coupon. (Of course I couldn't get to the store when I had 30%!).

Thank you. Will do.

If u belong to Costco go their - i think it was about 120.00 and it came with alot of coffee...

My Keurig died. I want to replace it with one with a large water tank. If you have such a machine and got a good deal, where did you get it?

(BTW, this is my 2nd Keurig in 3 years, the first one died after 6 months and was replaced under warranty. These machines don't last very long, IMO but they are really convenient).

QVC always does some good deals and they include a lot of extras. Got mine, the big one with 5 cup setting...its the best one out there for $150 and it came with 48 cups, plus a mail in for 48 more cups for free, then also got the water filter and my k-cup. And I LOVE it.

I can't believe anyone didn't mention it yet but easily the best deal was from Staples. I used an E-Junkie coupon for 25 off 100 plus a 25 staples gc rebate plus they took a one day 40% off competitors coupon form Office Depot. Grand total was $58 out the door and then got the rebate. Used it to buy more Keurigs for xmas!
Right now you can do it for $78 online with a E-junkie coupon, but there's no rebate for the Office pro right now. Here's the instructions:

When mine stopped brewing the lady in CS asked if I used the hot chocolate k-cups. She said they cause a lot of clogs and breakage. She said to always do a hot water only brew after EACH hot choc brew.

For those that are having trouble with the Keurig, I would definitely call the company! Ours broke a month after buying it, and we got it replaced with no charge. I didn't even still have the receipt, I just mailed them back part of the old machine. They were really good about customer service, I would call them and at least give them a try, they might surprise you and mail you a new one.

Also if you get a keurig at Costco and it breaks they will take it back. We had ours a little over a year and it wouldn't work anymore so we brought it back to Costco. They have an awesome return policy!
