Where did you fall in love?

On an escalator at Eaton Center in Toronto the day before Thanksgiving. We were there for the day and I felt like that day trip would either make or break our relationship. We went ice skating in the morning and had a ball, then some shopping. It was on that escalator that I knew I was in love w/Daxx. It just sort of hit me!!!!

Thanks for bringing back such a fond memory!

Warmly,

Daxx's Wife

La Jolla Ca on my 26th birthday. DH and I had been broken up for a couple of years and had gotten back together a few days before. He took me out to dinner at Karl Strauss. I remember every detail. Anyway, some friends of his came in and he introduced me to them as his love. It was so sweet and simple I fell in love right there on the spot.

In my playroom listening to "Hey There, Lonely Girl" on my record player, and gazing into the dreamy eyes of Shaun Cassidy on the album cover.

Sadly, it was not meant to be. I developed better taste and he...hmmm...I don't know what the heck happened to him. :confused3

It was great while it lasted, though. Da Doo Ron Ron Ron...Da Doo Ron Ron!

I love reading these stories! I didn't have a "light bulb" moment. DH & I realized that we were right for each other on a cold, damp day in Montgomery, AL. While all his frat brothers were drinking & drugging & other immoral stuff, we were exploring the Alabama State Archives, visiting Jefferson Davis's White House, and ice-skating at a local mall. We discovered a mutual love of travel and history and we never ran out iof things to talk about. That was in 1979 and we've been an item ever since.

Cathy & Kitt sittin' in a tree...K-I-S-S-I-N-G

My dh and I fell in love on October 24, 1994 in Parris Island, SC. I was in Marine Corps Boot Camp and he was a Navy Corpsman. I had an injury and was standing in line waiting to be treated, he was the corpsman taking everyone's vital signs. He was being silly. (he still acts a little silly  ) hmmm anyway....I mouthed off to him about being goofy....that is when he fell in love with me... I was "sassy". We began writing letters to each other. Turns out we are both from Houston and have lots of other things in common. He popped the question 2 weeks later when he saw me at the clinic one day. Love at  first sight *sigh* We could have gotten in lots of trouble..recruits and corpsmen are not supposed to become involved, but the risk was all worth it. We have been married for almost 11 years and have 2 beautiful children. :cloud9:

Hey Katholyn,

I met my DH in Houston, Texas, too!!!

Moved out there from Ohio cause my oldest sister, mom and one brother had moved out there.

Had been there about 8 months or so, talked my sister into having a New Years eve party.

Her neighbor worked at Texas Instruments, really nice couple.
Well, the party they and other TI people were supposed to go to, fell through, due to an illness.

My sister invited her neighbors and all the TI guys over. Most of them were single. I saw "him" sitting near the fireplace and someone introduced us.
We left the party. Later that night I told him I was going to marry him. He just laughed. Now 21 years later, we have good and bad times, but we can still laugh about that night we met.

I love Houston......

BTW, one of the other guys at the party that night became our Brother in law!!! Yep, he met and married my DH's sister 6 months after we were married!!!

Senior year of college. I lived with my 5 roommates in an apartment and he lived with his 5 roommates right next door. We shared a balcony. We were both dating other people, but the 12 of us used to hang out together and do a lot of things together. I really didn't like him that much, but senior year he began to pursue me. One night for whatever reason we stayed up in my living room all night talking and I fell totally in love. I told my roommate the next day that I was going to marry him. We just celebrated our 20th anniversary this past June. :cloud9:

The oddest thing of all is that 3 of my roommates married 3 of his roommates as well. All 8 of us are still happily married to this day. Love must have been in the air there at the college dorms. What are the chances of that come to think about it? :lovestruc
