When I was on DDP in Oct., I did not have to pay tip, it was just 1 CS credit.
For a counter service with a refillable mug, I would have them fill the mug for the meal and then get a water to drink another time. At breakfast I got 2 waters!

I didn't worry about it much this trip since we were on the deluxe plan but I am storing these ideas away for the future!

Day 2 finishing at last!

We had just hopped the boat from WL to MK and found a nice seat up front where we could enjoy the cooler evening air. I hadn’t been paying too much attention to the time since we had very clearly missed spectro. I wasn’t planning on catching Wishes this night since we had the dessert party booked in a few days so imagine my excitement as we pulled away from the dock and the captain (shouldn’t he have been driving? Maybe there are two of them?) came out and said the fireworks were about to start and we would be able to watch them on the trip over.

Soon we were rounding the Contemporary

Making our way past the bus stops (I think that’s where we were)

Then the castle and train station came into view

I tried really hard to get the monorail in this one

The end of wishes was approaching as we got off the boat so I quickly made my way to a nice spot to see the finale

Normal park hours had ended and EMH had begun so as we made our way into the park, a sea of humanity was making their way out. We managed to get behind a cart being pulled by several CM’s who were picking up “cheese”. Did you realize they place strips of foam in the grooves surrounding the tracks on Main Street to help prevent the dancers from tripping. I had never thought about it but it makes sense! So we took advantage of the path they were plowing through the crowd and followed along

The balloons with lights in them were new since we were there last. I thought they were really cool and on the flight home, Corry, my buddy from the airport, had one and showed me that you can turn the light off so his was still working at the end of the week

Once we got to the hub, the crowds had thinned enough that we could manage on our own so we headed toward frontierland

And basically walked on so we could go looking for our laughing place!

See the kid behind us? He wasn’t too excited to be going on this ride but his mother insisted. Nerves must have gotten the best of him because just after this photo was taken, he vomited in the log. The mother did not handle the situation well, she started yelling for help but of course there were no CM’s to hear her and the kid just sat there and cried. I felt so bad for him!!

Day 2, THE END

After splash, we walked onto BTMM

We liked it so much, we went again! Then we made our way to Adventureland to fly a carpet

And visit with one of the locals

As we crossed the hub, we took some time to appreciate the lack of crowds!!

Checking out the mosaics

And making our way to Fantasyland

Then we decided to take a spin on Cindy’s horses. Shelby is happy, do you know why?

She spotted the golden ribbon!

Next we said hello to some good friends and promised we would spend more time with them tomorrow

And made our way to Astro Orbiter because I had some more spinning to do. As we waited for our ride to the top, the CM asked how many were in our group. We told him 2 and he handed us 1 card indicating we would ride in 1 rocket. This CM must have never ridden in those rockets because Shelby and I had to SQEEEEEEZE our boo-tay’s into that sucker. We started laughing like crazy when we struggled to buckle the belt and didn’t stop until we managed to stumble out. I have NO idea what that kid was thinking when he decided we would fit together in that contraption!!!

I had a lot of fun snapping away while riding

When we went to MK that evening, I told Shelby it was open until 1 am but we could leave whenever we started to get tired. I’d had a long day already with 3 parks and 2 big meals and she had travelled which is always more tiring than you think it will be. Much to my surprise, we were still going stong so at 12:45, we decided to go ahead and close down the park and go on a final ride

Then we slowly made our way back down Main Street where these very cool temporary works of art bid us goodnight

Finally we said goodbye to MK but only for a little while because we had breakfast reservations in a mere 8 hours!

And I just love MK at night, so beautiful! sorry to hear about that kid in your log...sad to hear the mother wasn't handling it very well. anyway, sounds like you two had an awesome night at MK, can't wait to see breakfast!

What a great ending to your second day at Disney -- seeing the fireworks and riding all those rides during EMH!

I am a little stunned by the kid throwing up in the log! I have never heard of that happening!

What an awesome way to end the day I loved seeing a couple of Splash Mountain pics because it was closed when we were there. I miss it!

Kailyn and I also squeezed into one of those cars on Astro Orbiter. I still don't know how because they are tiny!

Funny thing was when I was full from a meal I would take the dessert and water back to the room and stick it in the fridge. I think by the last day I was using water to make coffee in the room to help get rid of it. That and cake for breakfast.

I think I tried to ride with both of my kids years ago and had a hard time getting in. It must have been both because my Dh can't ride spinning things and they were small so I guess we had no choice.

When I went with 2 friends last NYE and somehow we all squeezed into 1 doom buggy.
I think 2 of commented on sitting on 1 "cheek" the whole ride.
I think the CM was chuckling to himself when he made the suggestion of 1 doom buggy.

I'm not Katie but, yes, the horse with the golden ribbon is Cinderella's horse.

Katie, what a great way to end the day. I love the MK EMH's in the evening. I feel bad for that poor little boy; I don't know why parents insist on making their child do something they don't want to do. And your photos of the castle/fireworks and the castle and Walt with Mickey...well, all of your photos, are terrific.
