Great minds think alike. I just edited and uploaded my day 1 pics and I'm ready to start my TR. But look who beat me to it! It was hot, wasn't it????? It was weird to go from temperate to HOT! But I have been freezing all week since I got home!

But I think I can guess from your facebook updates that you had a pretty good time nevertheless. I can't wait to hear more details!! This trip was a long time coming and you more than earned it!!

I was going to title this TR "how to survive heat, crowds and blisters and still manage to have a great trip" but it was too long yeah, we had a great time!

Well, since I was probably not in front of you in any of your lines, and since I can't be held responsible for the heat, I guess it is safe for me to be over here.

I am so glad you got to take the grown-up trip. I hope you will help other moms realize that it might be a good and healthy thing for them to go and be a kid again themselves sometime.

I truly did worry about feeling so guilty during this trip that I wouldn't enjoy it. Turns out it was just what I needed!! Every Mommy should take a trip away!

I was there the same time as you and I agree about the heat and crowds. Both were a bit of a surprise for us as neither was an issue the same week in 2008. I am in! Some day maybe I will do one too!

I was there in June 2008 and other than the lack of afternoon thunderstorms, it felt very similar. My parents joined us one day and my Mom kept asking why all those kids weren't in school

I will be honest, I shuddered when I read the word blister.

When I went last May, it was hot hot hot and crowded which I wasn't expecting. I don't think I'd go in May again but that is just me.

I can't wait to hear more about your trip and all of your DIS meets!

I thought a lot about you and wished I had brought your foot care kit...do you know how much they want for moleskin at the resort shops? Luckily Mom and Dad had a Walgreens near their hotel and picked me up some.

I guess I don't remember your trip being hot and crowded...just rainy!

It has been terribly cold here since my return. It was so strange to go from sweating in shorts and t-shirts to shivering in sweats!

I think part of the problem was the shock of the heat! It had barely gotten into the 70's in Iowa and to jump straight to the 90's so unexpectedly was hard to handle.

Gosh, I'm a little overwhelmed with all the newcomers to my TR so let me give a collective



Hopefully I will get the first real update this weekend. I still need to do some wading through the 3,591 pictures I took. No, that's not an exaggerated number...that's how many I took (and that doesn't count my PP pics, those taken on my camera or those taken by Shelby and my parents) I have a tendancy just to point my camera and push the shutter button and see what comes out...a LOT of those pictures are garbage!

I'm sorry the heat and crowds were not what you had planned for; not to mention those nasty blisters! But you seem like you have such a good attitude toward life, so I'm sure you worked through it all!

BTW---as someone who had to take a Flat Stanley to Disney one year, I think it is so funny that you have a Flat Beth! I can't wait to see what sort of adventures she gets into!
