Luckily, there were trees nearby. Don't tell Walt.
I just remembered why DW and Bo Bo took the bus over to Blizzard Beach. DW didn't want to put Bo Bo in the steaming hot Suburban so she chose the airconditioned mass transit.
Knucklehead and I changed into our trunks in the car and then drove over to the water park. We lucked out and got a parking spot right up front. We met DW and Bo Bo just inside the gate, and I gave them their suits. I was unaware that you had to rent towels at Blizzard Beach. Next time we'll pack some from the room or the resort pool. They're the same towels.
Knucklehead went straight to the Ski Patrol Training Camp area and tested his skills on the ice bergs. That water was cold compared to the pool at POFQ. Then DW decided she wanted to ride Teamboat Springs. She and Knucklehead rode the Ski Lift up and had a good run down the rapids. Bo Bo and I hung out in the shade. He napped the afternoon away with his little clip on fan blowing on him in his stroller.
The water was too cold for DW, so it was my turn to play with Knucklehead. After a few more runs through the ice bergs, I persuaded him to try the zip line. I thought I killed him. He held on just a little too long, and when the handle came to a halt, Knucklehead flew head over heels and landed in the water on the back of his neck. There were many ooos from the peanut gallery. I was rushing down to retrieve my broken son when he came running up the walkway asking, "Can I do that again?!"
"Why, sure."
After a few more tries, he discovered the pipeline style slide. I was walking back and forth watching him come out at the bottom when I noticed he wasn't coming down. I hiked back up to the top and found him holding up some bigger kids and allowing these two little girls to go in front of him. Who said chivalry was dead?
At some point DW got our attention and told us she had bought a snow cone and was moving to another shaded area, away from the trash can that we had parked by.
"OK, we won't be much longer."
Knucklehead took a few more turns, and we had every intention of meeting back up with the others when we decided to ride Teamboat Springs one more time.
When we exited the ride and headed up to our rally point, a worried DW met us. She had been looking all over for us. Oops. She said Bo Bo had woken up and wasn't feeling well. We should leave.
Oh well.
We packed up and drove back to the resort. We had a PS at O'hana's that night, so we had to get back and get ready. It was still early, so I talked DW into letting Knucklehead and me take the bus over to MK and then we would meet her and Bo Bo at the Polynesian. That way Bo Bo could finish his nap in the room. DW also needed a much deserved rest.
Knucklehead and I went down to the bus stop and waited maybe 2 minutes before the bus for MK picked us up. To my surprise, the bus drove straight on to the park. We did not even look at POR, and there weren't many people aboard.
We got off at MK and rushed over to Space Mountain. Knucklehead wanted to get Fast Passes but I had to explain that we didn't have time to wait for the designated time posted for the FPs. So we headed for the back of the line. It was coming out the entrance. Uh oh. I was trying to decide what to do, and how to tell Knucklehead that we weren't going to be able to ride, when a nice young man asked us, "Are you two going to ride this?"
I told him, "Yes."
He said, "That line is way too long." And he handed us 2 Fast Passes for right then. I was ready to cry. We thanked him and practically ran up the Fast Pass Return entrance. The whole way up, Knucklehead kept saying loudly, "I'M GLAD WE GOT FAST PASSES."
Me too. Thanks to that kind young man, we were able to make it over to O'hana's on time.
We took the launch over to the Poly. We sat in the back and Knucklehead noticed water coming into the boat. It was a very small hole, but Knucklehead was worried. I told him that he better let the Captain know when we disembarked. He did, and the Captain was grateful. You could see around the hole where they had tried to patch it before.
We walked by the pool heading for O'hana's. Knucklehead stated that we would have to stay here next time.
"Sure," I'll just have to sell an organ.
We met DW and Bo Bo in the waiting area and were quickly seated. The food was excellent. But the shrimp, which DW was looking so forward to, was a bit too spicy for her taste buds. We told our waiter, and he had the cooks lay off the last coating of spices and DW was pleased with the results.
Of course, nothing appealed to Knucklehead. The waiter told him to at least try some of the food, and if he still didn't like it, he could have anything he wanted. As long as it wasn't pizza he would get it for Knucklehead. Knucklehead had chicken fingers.
And then he did the Hula Hoop, and later he entered the Coconut Races.

Luckily, the table in the picture was not ours.

When dinner was over, they piped in the Wishes music and we were able to watch the Fireworks from our table. Which is the perfect way to watch them with a child that's frightened by the noise of fireworks. It was "Magical."

Awesome report. I love your pet names for your family members, and your keen sense of humor is apparent. You make me feel like I was right with you; your desciptions are so vivid.

:)

Thank you eeyoregirl. I'm flattered. But all credit for my writing ability should go to my Jr. High English teacher, Mrs. Ormsby. And as for the pet names, I'll take responsibilty for Bo Bo, but his Uncle christened him Knucklehead. I mistakenly called him Bo Bo once, and he corrected me, "But Dad, I'm Knucklehead." And so it stuck.
