OK, so we get out of the pool and get showers and head down to the boat dock. I did manage to hear the CM at the Front Desk say that boats leave for DTD every hour on the hour. We were there at 5 til 6 and got right on after folding up stroller. Nice little boat ride landing at DTD over by The Rainforest Cafe. We strolled over to the Lego store and let Knucklehead play awhile. Then we took him over to McDonalds for his Happy Meal. We ate at Earl of Sandwich, very good, very affordable. Knucklehead again made friends with kids at neighboring table.
Now that we're fed, let's spend money! World of Disney Store here we come with AAA Diamond Card 10% off. Whoa DW! We're not buying souveniers 'til time to go home. We have a mission. One Pal Mickey, One Signature Book, and One Fat Pen for characters to use. We are now ready for the parks.
Look out! THunder! Lightning! We decide to take bus back to resort. Now I have read everywhere that buses always stop at POFQ first and pick up there first. Well, they forgot to tell that to the bus from DTD. First over to West Side to change drivers after they catch up on what's been happening in each other's lives, then to POR and finally POFQ. I'd like to apologize to anyone who may have been on that bus and had to sit near Bo Bo, he needed tending to.
Did I mention he wasn't feeling well?
We get back to hotel and tend to kids, and get them to bed. We get everything else ready for next day and hit the oh so soft hay.
I get up at the crack of dawn and am out the door after a shower in 10 minutes. Had to go down to Front Desk and get new key cards that included park passes and rest of Dream Maker package. Remember, first night was seperate room only ressie. With that taken care of I head over to food court for refillable mug full of coffee. THis year I got the one that will fit in most car drink holders. Last year we made the mistake of getting the wider/bigger one from CSR.
Get back to the room expecting everyone else to be up and ready, and excited as me. I was thinking how I would like to have Commando Nikki's whistle. They were sleeping so peacefully I decided to get ice for our cooler as noisily as possible. Finally, they arose and we were on our way over to WL for breakfast at WC. It was not like I remembered it. Something was missing. I don't know if it was the food or the CM waiting on us or what. Whatever it was, it was not going to ruin my day.
We step out of WL and it's raining. No problem, we're prepared. Umbrella, windbreakers for kids, and extra large vinyl table cloth and clothespins for covering stroller.
We load up and drive over to MK. Once through the parking lot because we missed the sign for AAA Diamond parking. Circle around and go right direction, park 1 row back from Handicap parking and head to Ferryboat. Knucklehead's decision was a good one. There was a larger cue for the Monorail. We wait a short while for the boat to load up and then start moving. The rain seems to be lightening up, and as we get off the boat and walk up to the entrance to MK it stops. This is going to be a great day! It's cool and cloudy and the rain or threat thereof is keeping people away.
