Where can you go with the magic plus option?

Hey all!

I have a question about the magic plus option ticket. I know that you can use your visits/choices to go to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Disney Quest and DWW of Sports, but specifically where can you go at Pleasure Island?

...also are there any places at Pleasure Island where it's appropriate to bring kids, say, 11 and up?

I've heard that some of the comedy clubs are "kid friendly" is this true?

Thanks for all your help.

When I went to PI in 2001 I did not take my kids. However, I did see several families there at night. The comedy club is very kid friendly and Disney-fied. It's an improv group. I don't remember too much more--not because I was imbibing, but because I was so tired from our week at the parks! What I do remember is that it was mosly different bars with dance areas.

I'm sure someone else will have much more info than I'm giving. :teeth: But the comedy/improv club was fine for kids.

We walked through PI last October because my SIL wanted to see it. We took my 11 yr old son. We didn't stay long and did not go into any of the clubs. Far too much cigarette smoke and drinking. And that's because it is an adult venue, not really a family venue.

The Comedy Club might have a more family oriented show for the first show of the night, but I think it gets a little less-family oriented as the night goes on. Be prepared to be the butt of a joke if you show up with younger kids.

Personally, I didn't enjoy PI.

We have gone to PI every time we've been, and seen lots of kids, though mostly teenagers. The comedy club would be okay (the first show, not the late one), but some of the material is slanted toward the adult - sexual references, but not outright language. There are many outside games vendors and a couple of small arcades. Personally, I think you would enjoy it more solely with adults, but sometimes that's just not possible.

With the new MYW tickets, purchased after Jan 2nd, 2005, you may use the Magic Plusses at Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest, and Wide World of Sports.

For those of you who have tickets purchased and dated prior to the introduction of the new Magic Your Way Tickets, your plusses will be good at Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Pleasure Island and The Wide World of Sports. Disney Quest cannot be added to them, nor can they be use there.

I think the OP means specifically which clubs can you go into w/ a plus option? Are there any exceptions to which ones you can enter (assuming you're the correct age to go in)? Are there any clubs in PI that you have to pay another entry fee to? If that wasn't what the OP was asking I'd like to know anyways lol

Yes, a Plus option allows you access to ALL the Pleasure Island clubs (except I'm reasonably certain the Irish pub is going to be free)

One plus covers one night.

If you think you may run out of plusses and want to go to Pleasure Island more than once, Pleasur Island often has a five more nights for five more dollars offer when you buy a separate all-clubs admission ticket.

Be very careful. It is smokey, lots of people get drunk. The thing is that PI is designed as a night club hot spot. Would you take your kids to a night club back home? If you do choose to take them I would leave before 10 because thats when people start to party. Ive seen people throwing up, people who coul;dnt walk, people exhibitng extreme PDA, people smoking, people have asked me for drugs or where to find them, people have been jumping around in the fountain, people dancing provokactively (sp?).

Now all that said I"m 23, I'm going to PI to get away from kids and have a great time with my friends/BF. If you want to bring your kids thats fine, but be you must prepared for what you will be exposing them to. There are def more kid friendly places on PI and if you leave early enough you probably wont have issues anywhere.

Thanks for the replies...

...If we do decide to go with the tweens...we can always LEAVE, and of course we'd only go the the early show

We have 5 plusses w/park hopper and usually only hit the water parks once each, maybe Disney Quest twice...just wanted to know what else was included

Thanks for the info everyone :grouphug:
