My dh just told me he really wanted a t-shirt that he could pick his own character and saying. I know they have make your own at Disneyshopping.com, but it wouldn't arrive before our trip. Does anyone know if there is any place at Disney that does this? Anyone know the price and what kind of choices you have?

Thanks a bunch!

No idea, but maybe you can order one from zazzle and have it shipped to you at the resort? They ship their orders within 24 hours so it'll be fast. Its www.zazzle.com/disney

I am almost 100% sure that you can make your own shirt in MK where you get out
from Stitch's great Escape. I think it's either called Mickey's Star Traders or Merchant of Venus.

You can go to zazzle.com, which has a lot of designs. Cool designs too. But you are limited to what you can say on the shirt. Disneyshopping.com also will let you design a shirt but again, you are limited to what you can say. Or if you're up to it, you can go here at the DIS board http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=892887
and some really wonderful people will help you design a shirt, you print it out on transfer paper on your computer, iron on your own t-shirt and you have yourself a wonderful shirt. We did this for several of our shirts last February.

Go to that link I gave you, lots of tips and suggestions from some very creative people.

I have a regular printer and was able to do it. I had a few problems...you can't use t-shirts that have had any fabric softner. You get specific paper for light or dark shirts. I had lots of fun doing it.

Of course, I was ironing on transfers the night before we left and I was just a tad bit overwelmed with everything I had to do. I don't suggest that!!!

I did not see in the thread where you can purchase transfer paper. Please let me know where you got it from. I have less than 2 weeks to go. Thanx!

You can buy the transfer paper from loads of places - Wal Mart, Office Depot, any of the craft stores. Just look for the normal printer paper and you should find some transfer paper there.

Come on over to the creative DISigns board - you can post a ton of questions there and someone will help you out :)

By the way, there was a Shirt making booth at DTD right by Guest Services in the Marketplace. When I was there in August he had been replaced by a photographer for BBB. Is the shirt booth completely gone or has it just been moved? :confused3

I second the idea of heading over to the Creative DISigns board, very friendly posters there! One of the designers even made a design for our family to use on our Halloween costumes.

We got out transfer paper at Michael's (craft store) and I've seen it pretty much everywhere that printer paper is sold including computer stores, craft stores, even WalMart!

GL!

Thanks everyone! Hopefully I'll have time to try this before I go! :thumbsup2

OH! And I will visit the Creative DISign board. Thanks again!

Yep, what she said :goodvibes A very friendly, helpful group of people over there. Take the time and look at all of their designs. A lot of talent over there!

I went over to the Design board. But I cannot find the shirt section. I THOUGHT I saw a design with DIS Boards on it. Does anyone have that design, or link to that section?

just did this for our up comuing trip. Went to the local craft store and bought shirts for each of us, this way we each had a different/favorite color. Then bought inkjet transfers for "dark t-shirts", this is important as many shirt colors will "bleed" through a regular transfer. Went to Google and image Googled the charachters I wanted and then down loaded. Opened the image in my art program added text excetera and then printed according to directions on transfer package. Made great shirts for the whole group that are individual but also similliar so we can all wear then together. Good Luck!

Never mind - - - ok, this is harder than it sounds.
