I have looked everywhere in the member site and can't find this. I know I've seen it somewhere. Something like 25% discount for cash reservations, not a point reservation, strictly cash.

Also, I've read that if there is a general public discount available, if you call and book through member services you can get the discount and therefore be considered as a member at the resorts. I wondered about the free internet at disney resorts that are not villa resorts?

thanks:thumbsup2

The DVC member discount is 25%, it's only available at DVC resorts. Book through member services.

General public discounts can be booked through CRO, not through member services. I've never heard of a case where a general public discount could be booked through MS and be considered a member stay.

Any reservation booked through MS at a DVC resort is treated the same as a DVC points reservation. If you book a points reservation or a cash reservation through MS at a DVC resort, you will get free internet.

There is a 25% discount sometimes on DVC villas through MS when you pay with cash. Sometimes there is no discount at all.

Any general discounts through DRC for PINs or APs are not available through MS.

Thanks so much. I always thought this was the case, but I was afraid I was missing out on something. I booked BLT this summer as general public discount at 42% off. Could have booked as a member to get the 25% (if it was available) and I would have gotten free internet and access to the TOTWL.

Likely, I would still opt for the greater discount. But good to keep in mind the member discount as a possibility again,if it is available, for future non-point ressies.

Thanks

With a general public discount, not only will you save 42%, but will get daily mousekeeping. If you NEED internet, it's $10 a 24 hour period. I think you are better off with the 42%.
Have a great trip.
