I don't own any Disney movies on DVD and we just got a minivan with a DVD player. So now I'd like to get some Disney movies for the kids to watch on trips. Where should I look to get the best deal and what is a good price for a Disney movie on DVD? Say Little Mermaid or the like. There seems to be a lot for sale on eBay, but I want to make sure I'm getting a good deal. I don't mind it being used.

Sign up for the Disney Movie Club. You'll get several movies for a few $$ to start with--then you'll be offered different deals each month. Sometimes they offer $10 DVDs when you buy at least three. :-)

I agree, I did the Disney Movie Club and when I hit VIP status they gave me the option to do the whole deal over again. Once I got the VIP status again (aka buying your Xth - usually 4th - DVD at regular club price) I canceled. And there was no harassing, I just had accumulated all the DVDs I wanted.

Just look for the best deal - which is usually like 6 movies for a $1 or something to that effect.

Otherwise, I'd suggest yard sales at homes where the kids have grown up, if you're lucky!!

I've been looking on ebay since I posted this question. I got a brand new copy of Frozen for $7 with free shipping and two Tinkerbell movies for around $5 each (used). I this will be a good way for me to build my collection on the cheap.

I buy a lot of used videos from Family Video.com. They sell disney sometimes and they are guaranteed to work.
