where can i get cheap fresh rose petals?

Not fresh, but cheap We wanted a rose petal toss for our 2/5/03 intimate wedding. John's habit is to get me a rose a week - we were engaged for a year and a half before the wedding plus the dating time before that - you do the math, that's a *lot* of rose petals! I dry all of them, so we just picked some colors we liked and voila, instant rose petals. Of course they don't have the same color or consistancy of fresh, but in our pictures you couldn't tell and it had sentimental value to us.

For my Disney wedding two years ago, I was able to purchase fresh red rose petals at Goodings Grocery Store in the Crossroads shopping center (right outside of Downtown Disney).

I don't remember the exact cost, but I think it was approx. $6.50 for a fairly large box.

I hope they still have them available.

Most cities have a floral market - one that mainly caters to wholesalers... You might ask a bridal store in your area, or call a local flower shop and ask if they have one. They will sell petals by the bag. We got ours through Disney Floral - they had them in a basket waiting when we came out of the ceremony.

Costco sells pretty cheap rose boquets, too. That's what we're going to use for the rose petals for the flower girl and cake table.
