Where can I find the best car rental rates?

We were going to book with Hertz as SIL works for them, but for some reason she can't get us a discount at Sandford airport. So where can I find good rates on car rentals?

I'm going Mar.4th-8th. I found a good rate with Dollar. 155.00 for a sebring sized car. (We have a sebring at hime ,so I know how much I can cram in it! LOL!) I am still kind of looking, but this rate seems pretty good and dollar is said to have a good reputation as well.

Since your SIL can't get you a Hertz discount for Sanford, have you checked out the AAA Hertz rates? I was surprised to find the AAA rates are lower than my #1 Gold card rates from work.

Yea I did. I thought they were pretty high. I would be paying about 15 dollars more per day for the same size car.

Check out Mousesavers.com. She lists several and the codes for discounts. They really work, I have saved a ton of money.

Dollar actaully had a better promo code that I used than what I found on mousesavers. it is 918.

Jenseib--I tried all the codes that usually work for me and I think you got a good deal $155 for your dates.

Have a great trip. Wish I was going too. I have to wait till Nov. I have several car rental ressies already. Waiting to see who has the best deal.

Yes 918 is the code I used. I have an intermediate size car. Which is like a Chrysler Sebring size. Maybe it is jsut good for the dates I have. Or maybe for a bigger car? Not sure why. But I thought it was a decent amount.

If you have a membership to Sam's club try their website they offer discount car rentals..
