I was reading the "what bag you wear in the park" thread and saw a picture of someone's bag packed with a tiny microfiber towel in a little pouch. I'd love to have one for my park backpack, but have no idea where to find one. Anyone know where I can get one? Thanks!

I think they said it was from the Christmas Tree Shop, and then someone else said you can get microfibre towels in the car care aisle @ Walmart. Hope this helps.

I think I know what you were looking for. I have 2 Packtowls. They are better than the microfiber towel, because they are super absorbent, quick drying, and anti-micro. They are not cheap, but well worth the cost. They came with their own pouch with a loop end. I believe you might be able to find them at stores like Eastern Mountain Sports or similar.

This may be a stupid question....but, why do you need one? I haven't carried one with me before & now I'm wondering what I'm missing out on! ;)

They are good for wetting and putting around your neck if you're hot- one mom put it on her baby's head and kept him cool when everyone else was sweltering. When it's dry, you can use it to wipe off after a soaking ride, or sit on it during the parade to have a clean, soft place to sit. I guess the towel would have to be pretty dry for that use or you'll have a big wet spot on your hiney. :rotfl:

I have some (non-microfiber) "magic towels" that I got at the Dollar Store. They also sell them at the Disney Store in the mall I think. They are about the size of a wash cloth and have Disney characters on each one. It is handy to have to help keep cool by wetting and putting on your neck. I am not sure if these work the same way as the microfiber ones or not, these are much cheaper --- and have Mickey on them. :)

I usually bring an old bandana and use that to wring out and put on our necks to cool off. Then I can just throw it out. Those microfiber towels are expensive!

I carry a chamois cloth to the parks - also called a swimmer's towel. I got mine in the auto aisle at Target (they're also great for drying cars). I use it to wipe off wet ride seats, bleachers, me, or whatever else is wet. They are super absorbent and wring out to 90%+ dry ready to use again or store with no mildew issue. While the microfiber is absorbent, it doesn't dry very quickly.

I bought mine in the camping department at walmart...It is small but didn't come in a pouch. It works fabulous!

I use mine for wiping off the seats on wet rides like splash mountain or sitting on it at Fantasmic if it had rained and the seats are damp or even drying off after wet rides...It is so absorbent, you don't have to worry about putting a wet towel back in your bag...it dries instantly...I wouldn't go to the world without it!:thumbsup2

My dh and I carry a small yellow camping towel in our fanny bags. We got them at Walmart in the camping section. THey work great for drying off or seating on.

I think also if you have little ones that might be running through water- great to dry them off before putting the change of clothes on.:cool1:

Hmmm maybe good for the Kali River Rapids ride also?
