I have a question!! Does anyone know where I can find a all regional dvd player? I pre-ordered the 25th Anniversary DVD of Les Miserables not knowing that when it gets here it won't play in our American DVD players. I need a new DVD player so I don't mind investing in one but it has to be an all regional. Tried typing in that on search engines of Best Buy and Walmart and it brings up every DVD player they sell.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Very excited for this DVD since I have seen all of the footage on Youtube of the concert this past Sunday.

Most software programs will play any region. Can you hook your computer up to your TV? My laptop has an S-Video out but most half way decent televisions now a days will have either a DVI or even a D-sub (VGA) in.

although most software will, most pcs will not, this is to help cut down on dvd piracy, you can generally change the region on your pc, but the last I checked you could only change 3 or 5 times, then the pc dvd player is locked to that region..

interesting info on this page...

based on this info, if a newer region one disk has rce, it will not play in a region free player, so it's best to get a multi region player...

My husband bought one from PlayAsia.com so that he could watch all the Japanese Horror Movies. He has bought many items (including Japanese video games) from them over the last 3-4 years.

But now he tells me that he doesn't need that region free DVD player any more because his XBox360 plays all regions DVDs (Okay, I might be wrong, it might be his Playstation3, I"m not positive which one it is) But yeah, one of those videogame systems will play the all regions of DVDs.

And your laptop _might_ we have one laptop that will, one that won't. I'm not sure what the difference is.

A few years ago we bought the cheapo cyberhome dvd player (actually bought it from Best Buy) for the boys for the basement. It was about $20 on sale (black Friday) and it was region free.

I don't think it stated that it was on the box.

We've bought a couple of region free dvd players from regionfreedvd.net, no problems with shipping or anything else. (Bought our first from them about 7 years ago, bought the second last year after the first went kaput.)

This is the one we own: http://www.regioncodefreedvd.com/pioneer1080p.html It's inexpensive (somehow always seems to be on sale for under 100 dollars), and reasonably reliable.

I buy a lot of DVDs from the UK, so we always have a Region-Free Dvd player in the house.
