Hi,

The search function is not working. So please forgive me if this question is trite. I went back 10 pages on the budget board and nothing to my question was posted.

My 10 year old daughter would like a Ugg pair of boots for Xmas. I went on their webiste, Ugg.com, and it's $140, I already knew. is there anyother website or place that I can go to get them at a lower price?

Thanks so much.

I usually buy mine on ebay out of season and get them at least 1/2 off. Also, tilly's sometimes has them online and you can find coupon codes. Maybe Zappos? I haven't looked in a while to see who else might have a good deal.

Just a FYI...most of the Uggs on eBay are fakes.

I bought my Uggs at Zappos.com for $134.

Does she actually "need" real Uggs? If you don't mind a pair of well-made knockoffs, look for the Bearpaw brand. They're made nicely...just as well as the Uggs I bought, IMO. Marshalls had them for $39.99 a couple of weeks ago, or you can get them at Famous Footwear, Shoe Carnival, etc.

I've also heard that Costco sells a nice Ugg knockoff.

I second the Bear Paws...I have a pair myself and they are pretty comfy and much cheaper. I also got mine at Marshalls for $40. You can find them at Famous Footwear and they are having their bogo 1/2 off sale now. If she does want real Uggs, try Nordstrom. The big kids sizes there are about $90 for the classic short style

Get her the child's size ones - they're cheaper. A couple of weeks ago, I got mine for $97 with free ship from some website (similar to Zappos) that had a 2 day 30% off promotion on everything.

I found this link.

Can someone tell me if they are real or fake? Have not ordered them yet.

Thanks.

It's hard to tell from stock photos. You'll need to examine the sole, the stitching on the lable, the inside label, etc. to look for indications of real or fake boots. They may be authentic Ugg Australia (manufactured by Deckers) but at those low prices my guess is they are Grade B quality which means they didn't make the quality standards to be put into regular retail establishments and now they are sold at places like Outlet stores.

Are you looking at womens sizes or girls sizes? What style?

For $95, Grade B works for me. These are for DD12 who is currently in "hot water" for losing her Vera Bradley lunch bag yesterday. Not upset that she lost the bag, furious that she snuck a cell phone and her ipod in there to take to school! :scared1:

Needless to say, very hard to bring myself to spend a lot of money for a brand name item just so she can be with the "in" crowd.

Thanks!

I just ordered from Zappos this morning.:surfweb: I ordered a youth size 6 for my 12DD who wears Nike in womens size 8. I hope they fit since I got them for $93 (free shipping)!!! Thanks for posting about Zappos, I've never even heard of them before today!

How do you know this?

There was a lengthy thread here not so long ago about UGGS and I'm pretty sure there was a link in it on how to spot fakes. I was prepared to get a pair on Ebay but after reading that I decided not to. I ended up getting a great deal at shopbop.com when they were having a 30% off sale.

Zappos is great! Even the return shipping is free if you need to send something back!

I'll check Zappos. My problem is that my DD12 wears a womans size 9 or 10! Can't go to a childs size.

Thanks for all the great info.

I remember that thread and link. It was good information on how to tell fake Uggs from authentic Uggs. However, I don't think it said that most Uggs sold on Ebay are fakes. There are lots of good sellers on ebay that sell authentic, grade A quality Ugg boots.:flower3:

Yes that is true I should have mentioned that. I decided not to go with eBay because I really wouldn't know until I had them in my hands and just didn't want to take the chance. There are just too many things out there that can be very good conterfiets and unfortunately eBay is the place they are sold. Its just a personal choice, I didn't mean to inply that all Uggs on ebay are fakes :flower3:

I've purchased several pairs from Nordstrom Rack by stalking their website. The selections and sizes are limited at any one time but because prices are so great they go very quickly.

I second Nordstrom Rack. I've also purchased several pairs there at prices lower than I've seen anywhere. Have also stalked the site because they don't last long at those prices!
