Where can I buy Plastic Scrubbers for washing pots??

I'm talking about the plastic scrubby things that look kind of like a shower scrunchy but are stiffer for washing dishes and pots/pans - they are safe on non-stick surfaces. I used to buy them at the dollar store, Walmart and stores like that, but they don't seem to carry them anymore. Was there a recall on plastic scrubbers that I missed?? I'm down to my last one, which I bought a package of at CVS's dollar spot. Had I known I'd never find them in stores again, I'd have bought out their stock!

Searched online for 'em for ya, and only came across a few sites that carry them, and some had them listed as unavailable.. so not real sure if they're in the process of not being carried anymore or not.. but anyways, here's 1 of the sites that still has them:

Maybe its just where you live? I use them too still find them at Dollar General and Wal~Mart here in FL

i can't find any around here either. So i had my mom whip up some on her knifty knitter loom. She sends me a big package of them every few months. I love em! So maybe if you know how to knit or know someone who does, they can whip up a few for you.

My Mom knows someone who makes them and she buys them from her. I absolutely adore mine, I use them on everything and throw them in the dishwasher every few days to clean and sanitize them. Any time I need one I just ask Mom and she sends me some.

I haven't seen them around here at all lately. DH uses the plastic bags that onions come in as a substitute. They also sell a sponge that has the same plastic mesh on the outside at Target - they're more expensive tho.

Might try plastic card I have thrown out scrubbers since I discovered the plastic card (old credit card debit etc) can be used on any surface with out scratching lifts stuck on stuff insead of scrapping from top. Great for pans table top etc also takes the scum off we can feel but not see.

I don't understand why they aren't selling them anymore? The last time I bought them at CVS, I think it was a bag of 6 of them for $1.00 - I had no reason to suspect that they would not be around again. I'll keep hunting for them I guess. Saw some on-line - 3 pkgs of 3 each for $7.00 plus shipping. That's a whole lot more than 6/$1.00!

I just got a bag of 3 at Valu Home Center. They also had the brush type scrubbies that you put detergent in the top. I was surprised how well they worked. They were all in the $1.00 bins.

The stiff plastic mesh bags that some produce items are sold in really do work well as scrubbies. I've been using them for years on all of my baked-on messes. If the mess is especially bad, I scrub with a baking soda paste. After every use I throw the "mesh bag scrubbie" in the dishwasher. The mesh bags do a great job and last a long time, too. Best of all, the price is right-- free!

Dobie is the brand name for them, I've found mine at Meijers in the cleaning aisle. When combined with Bar Keepers Friend cleaner (it's a powder cleanser, like Comet only better), I find I can clean ANYTHING off the bottom of my stainless steel cookware set, even burned on crud without scratching. BKF also cleaners my white porcelain sink better than anything else I've tried!

if you are looking for the hard kind .....they are called pan scrapper and i use mine to scrape the iron frying pan

I found mine at the Dollar Tree. They are Brilo brand. But agree they are hard to find.
