Does anyone have any idea where I can purchase a swimsuit in the WDW area?

I had gastric bypass in May and have lost 97 lbs. Today, I discovered that my current swimsuit no longer fits! Which is great, but we're leaving for WDW in 13 days. Normally, I'd order one but there isn't time. Besides, I really need to try the suit on, since I'm not sure what size to buy. Maybe an 18? 20? 16? I really have no idea!

I've looked locally, but swimsuits aren't out any more (we're in Connecticut) and those that are available are either way too small or way too big or they're really expensive . I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on the suit as I'm still losing and know this will probably be the only time I'll wear it.

So...does anyone know where an inexpensive swimsuit can be purchased in the WDW area in October? We'll have a car so transportation isn't a problem.

Thanks in advance!

Hi:
Congratulations on the weight loss. Although, I will only wear a Land's End suit, I can't imagine you want to spend that type of money on a suit you'll probably wear once. I bet your size will be smaller by the time you need to wear it again next summer. Would you consider checking the Walmart by Downtown Disney? They had suits in April and since it's close to Disney they might carry them year round. It couldn't hurt to call them.

Again, congratulations!

Congrats ! I went to Dillards and they have a ton on clearance . I bought a 225.00 suit for 23.00 bucks : ) I think you guys have that up there . Try online they ship fast and you will get it in a couple of days ., I think you should order what you think you need and then one up and one down that is what I do . Then you can ship it back if you dont like it : ) and still be able to have one to wear

The resort gift shops have adult swim suits, and surprisingly, they are reasonably priced.

congrats on your weight loss!!! Beach club gift shop has swim suits. Just saw them there a few weeks ago.

If I were you and have access to a car when you get there - I would check the outlet malls in the area. They usually have off season merchandise and at really low prices!

Thank you all so much for the ideas!

I might check out the resort shops first, because it would be fun to finally have a Disney themed suit--even if it is for only one trip!

I'll probably check out the outlet malls, too. Any idea which one(s) are best? I'm going to have DH with me and he's happy shopping--but for only so long. He's worse than a whining three year old when he gets bored with shopping! LOL! So, the quicker I can find something the happier he'll be!

As of a few days ago, there weren't many left at the WDW stores.

They should be getting more in though. Wonder why they're running low. The gift shops stock them year-round...not just during the summer months. We had no problem buying DD16 (she wears adult sizes) a suit last January at the CBR gift shop.

We always sell swim suits at the water parks.

If you are not planning to actually do a water park on this trip you can get a shopping pass. You have to pay for a one day water park ticket and as long as you return to Guest Services (or the ticket window where you bought it) within 30 minutes (and are dry) we will refund your money.

We went to wal-mart to check things out, I wasn't even looking for a suit and saw the cutest black and white one so I bought it even thoe I had brought one. But for $18 we never get anything here like the styles there. This was the end of Jan. Right before our cruise, my friend had bought one on line for $132. So when my husband saw mine that night he wasn't very happy as his friend had just told him about the new one his wife had bought. LOL But I'm way to cheap for that. Anyway if your going to the outlet mall with the Disney store in it and have boys that where hats. We found a hat store in the opposite corner of the outlet that tons of "cool" hats for $5. Fox, DC. My kids ended up with 7 apiece. That's what they decided to buy for all there friends and there principle for gifts. When we go back well be going there again for sure. Have a grate trip

I usually will go to Swim N Sport they are a little pricey but good quality have suits in stock all year around. There is one in the Orland area.

I was just at WDW a few weeks ago. I ran to the Mall of Millenia and stopped in Everything Water. My daughter found the 50% off rack. I tried on one suit , it was super cute & only $50. Super easy & good quality that I can use for future trips.
