My kids got a lot of Disney Dollars for Christmas from family and friends. The plan is that they will use them for souveniers, snacks, etc. that we "aren't buying" for them. We also got a lot that we plan to use for meals. Is there anywhere in the World that does NOT accept them? (i.e. counter service restaurants, snack venders, etc).

TIA!!!!!!!

Disney wants you to buy lots of their dollars and spend them everywhere in the parks and dt disney. Yes, snack vendors, too.

Lucky them. My kids loved having these to shop at their own will.

The only places that won't accept them in WDW are not owned by Disney. Example... Rain Forest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and I think Mc Donalds. Not sure of any others.. but I'm sure there are some.

You can't use them at the Disney Outlets (Character Warehouse/Pemiere) either. Too bad, since that's where you can get the best bargains!

Debbie, last year we DID use Disney Dollars at the outlets. As long as they are owned by Disney, they will take Disney Dollars. The do not, however, give a further discount there, like with the Disney Club Card.

I know you can't use Disney Dollars at the stores in the Westside part of Downtown Disney that aren't Disney owned - such as the Virgin Record Megastore, etc. You also can't use Disney Dollars at the Video place in Pleasure Island (where you lip sync to hit songs and can buy the video). We found that out the hard way and had to go back to the room for cash money.

What about the Lego store? It is big on DS's list of not to be missed and he is shopping with Disney Dollars. I can however change the money back to real world money if I need to.Right?

My daughter got her face painted at Boardwalk two weeks ago and the girl there wouldn't let her pay with Disney Dollars because it was later in the night. She said they were supposed to get rid of all their Disney Dollars before closing. She was pretty adamant at the time about not taking them, but later I wondered if she would have had to take them if I insisted.
