We have finished our ADR's for our March 2012 FREE DINING trip... after putting much thought into our reservations and why, here is what we have come up with. Things may change, we often make ADR's then cancel or change once we arrive and get into our vacation. Many of our ADR's are made because of where we happen to be on a given day and what places we really want to try or revisit. DH and I do not want to be traveling all over The World just to eat - we feel its a waste of precious time... We rarely eat a sit down breakfast and lunches vary depending where we are and what the parks are like.... Here is our "schedule" so far:

Day 1 - Magic Kingdom all day- Dinner at Tony's Town Square: We will be in the park on our first day and wont want to leave. While we really like Crystal Palace we want to try something new and the menu looks great!

Day 2 - Disney Hollywood Studios - Pizza Planet for dinner or lunch (TS - we are saving a credit for a 2x later in the trip): Kids love Toy Story and its a fun place to go

Day 3 - No set plans for this day after 2 long late nights at MK & DHS... Dinner at DTD Rain Forrest Cafe: A family favorite but have only been to the one at AK

Day 4 - Animal Kingdom early: Then dinner at California Grill. Since we can get through the AK in about 1/2 day it will give us a chance to go back & get changed with plenty of time. We have been here a few visits back and really enjoyed our "fancy meal" and watching wishes from the observation deck!

Day 5 - Magic Kingdom Day #2: Dinner at 'Ohana since we will be at MK again all day... Haven t been there before but have heard great things!

Day 6 - Epcot: Dinner at Coral Reef. We had ADRs last trip but ended up cancelling because our days were switched around... We are a family of seafood lovers and like the looks of the menu.

When and where are you eating and why?? Do you fly by the seat of your pants and hope for a ressie? Do you travel all around the world for a particular restaurant? Are you trying something new or are you a creature of habit?

I am a huge planner so there is no way I could fly by the set of my pants.

So I know where we are going to eat 180 days out.:lmao:

First day we arrive we are trying Ohana for dinner for the first time. I've been told it is well worth it.:thumbsup2

Second day: Epcot, we are again trying something new. We are going to Chefs de France for dinner. I thought hay why not.:confused3

Third day: We have never tried Flam tree BBQ. I've always wanted to try it it just ened up not working for us.:thumbsup2

Forth day: a busy one. Having breakfast at Crystal Palace, love it there.:)
And then Tonys for dinner. We've had it once and we liked it so we are going back.

Fifth day we are eating at SCI-FI, we've had it before and would like to try to new menu.:thumbsup2

Last but not least: lunch at Le Cellier, I've read some mixed reviews but we have always enjoyed our meals there. So until ours is bad we will continue to go.

And of corse enjoying the Food and Wine fes. the two days we are at Epcot.
popcorn::

10 more days until we are at WDW!!!!!!:yay::cheer2::rotfl2:

Last May I planned everything.. at least 2 meals a day.. Part of our trip we were on Deluxe dining.. We ate at LTT, 50's Prime Time, Earl of Sandwich, Kouzzina, Il Mulino, La Hacienda, Le Cellier, Captain Cooks, Narcosses, Cystal Palace, chef Mickeys, and Ohanas.. I liked every place we ate.. but, I LOVED Narcosses. I don't know if I would eat here if I wasn't on the dining plan, as our meal for the 3 of us came to $180.. but, it was amazing.. I had surf and turf and loved every piece of it..
This time, in April.. I am going to make some ressies.. But, none in the parks with the exception of Epcot, because we are staying at the beach club.. I am planning on making some ressies around the beach club area, but I am NOT overbooking, and honestly the only reason why I am planning at all this time is because we are going over spring break and I don't want to spend time that we can be having fun waiting to eat..

We were the same way about not traveling around the world to eat.
Day 1 MK all day. We ate at Tony's for dinner. Good food and excellent ice cream bomb for dessert (only complaint was a very slow server but I stayed to pay while the family went outside to get chip/dale pics). Also a must for snack is the Dole Whips!
Day 2 AK day. Had Flame TreeBBQ and we hit Chef Mickey for dinner, just like you said, we were done by 2pm so we could relax at resort pool then get to dinner.
Day 3 MK again and lunch at CRT for our first time. Good beef tips and dessert to fill us up for mnsshp evening. Cosmic Ray is always on the QS stop for us for the third different selection lines.
Day 4 Epcot we rushed to make our lunch at Teppon Edo. We love Japanese so had to try for first time. Good experience.
Day 5 HS for lunch at Hollywood Vine. Excellent choice for buffet and dessert bar. Our kids are young so they loved the environment and we had plenty to eat. Our kids also love Toy Story so we ate at Pizza Planet for dinner.
Day 6 HS again to have some great snacks at Starring Rolls. You have to try the Butterfinger Cupcakes
We also went to DTD to eat at T Rex out of pocket. Good environment and kids loved the play area afterwards.

We will try Ohana on our next trip.
