Where are the W.I.S.H. scream teams going to be for the events this weekend?

Greetings Everyone: I thought it would be nice to list where the cheering sections are going to be for the races this weekend. That way we can be on the look out for friends and family that might be cheering on fellow W.I.S.H. runners.

For example: My scream team will be at the Wilderness Lodge on Sunday just past the 9 mile point of the full marathon. They will be decked out in bright lime/yellow W.I.S.H. t-shirts and have a cowbell.

Half Marathon - Sat, Jan 6th

Half - We'll be at Main Street and when you enter Epcot again. Wearing our WISH shirts and making ourselves known.

Full - Scream team will be at teh start, areoung teh 4-mile mark, main street, behind the poly and back at the finish. They'll be donning Wish Shirts, unless it's too hot. I've told them to look for the lime and cheer.

Great idea Dave!!! Great cheer point for the full, too.

HALF - On Saturday for the half, DD's and I will be on Main Street and also at EPCOT before the runners come back into the park. I will be wearing my WISH shirt and DD's will have on lime green. You WON'T miss us, I can guarantee you.

FULL - On Sunday for the full, DH and DD's will be at TTC, in Animal Kingdom parking lot and outside at Beach Club. After the marathon I will join them at Beach Club and we will remain there until every last runner comes in. I am looking for lime green pom-poms or something else that stands out.

For the full, the fam and I will be at Beach Club, not sure exactly where yet. I'm planning to wear a WISH shirt and I'll have a big lime green posterboard WISH sign that I'll also have at dinner on Friday.

If UPS gets straightened out, Cam will have green and yellow noise makers for people cheering at Friday's dinner. So, if you see a greeen and yellow clapping hand along the way, it's likely a WISHer. After darn near spraining my wrist clapping last year, this seemed like a better option.

Oh, Carrie!!! What a clever idea!! I want to support my WISH team at the full, so I'm off to get lime green posterboard (thanks, Mel!). I've never done this before, so I'm looking for advice. I doubt DH will be joining me wherever..AK sounds good, as does the Boardwalk. I don't know the logistics of running from place to place. I'm sure Kristi can advise. I'm sure I'll get more help on Friday!!

Half--My sister and I will be at mile 4 until my parents cross, between 7:30-8:00 and then we are going to the finish line. I will be wearing my 2006 WISH shirt and ringing a cowbell (like Carrie, I learned last year that you can't clap for all those people!!)

Full--My Mom, Dad, and sister will be at mile 9 until I cross, (guessing around 7:45), they will then go to mile 12.5 again until I cross, and then the finish line!! They will have my cowbell and I will see if my Mom wants to wear my WISH shirt, hopefully it won't be too dirty!

For the FULL

DD21 will probably (if she gets up in time!!-which for me will be sometime after 10:30) be at the AK parking lot.

After that not sure.....she won't be using a day of our passes, so....I am looking for opinions....

after she leaves AK, should she go to the MGM entrance? It looks like the course comes out the front of MGM (I only have a black and white copy of the course at work), is that correct? If so she will probably be there, and then head to the finish at Epcot.

Another possibility would be for her to go to the Beach Club area, but then it would be harder for her to get to the finish outside the front of Epcot.

Where ever she is I will make sure she knows to cheer a lot, even for non WISHers!!

My Scream Team will be at AK. DH has promised he will wear his WISH shirt so I can find him.

My scream team will be at the BWV...not sure what mile it is, but I have included a picture of where it is from my WDW 04 marathon. That may help...the BW pool is right where I am pointing, well kind of. They will be there around 9:30 I hope. It will be MIL, DD8 and DD6. DDs are really great scream teamers so look for them...OH, I will let DD8 wear my WISH shirt!

For the half- I will be joining Carrie and Cam on Main Street to watch for DH and then head inside EPCOT to cheer people on. I will be wearing my WISH shirt.

BTW, I have "cow bell envy". That was a great idea.

Say, does anyone have any idea what time the first runner might be coming thru by the Beach Club? What time are you all planning on being there in the morning? Also, what time do you think you'll stay until? In a masterpiece of poor planning, I have us flying out Sunday night at 5, so we probably have to get ME at 2:00 or so. I know, stupid of me, wasn't it?

Judy - you have 7 hours to finish the Full, so you are fine.

For the Half - I am walking/running, but I will talk off as many WISHers' ears as I can! I will be wearing my lime green tank, with a white hat with some crazy scribbling on it! (I have no WISH shirt) Oh - and my WISH socks.

For the Full:
I am going to probably park the car at Epcot at the 7am-ish opening of the parking lot. Then I am going to monorail over & try to catch Chad (and anyone else around the same time frame) at MK. Last year I was too late, but managed to monorail over to GF and catch him there - so that is my back-up plan for this year as well. I will then bus to the Boardwalk area to stand somewhere and

I am having cow bell envy too. Wonder if they sell one around here somewhere...?
