Where are all the Louisiana WDW lovers? UPDATED 1ST POST WITH DATES!

Don't know how I've missed this thread.

We live in Monroe, LA. We were in WDW back in June but our trip was a disaster because on day 2 I fell down the stairs in Mexico at EPCOT and broke my leg and arm. I just missed a step and down I went! I spent the rest of the week in FL hospital getting my leg put back together. My family made the best of a bad situation but it pretty much spoiled things for all of us.

So, we are going again the last week of Jan. 09 and the last week of May 09 to try again! We own DVC at Saratoga Springs but will be staying at BCV in Jan. and hope to stay in VWL in May. I want to try all the DVC and am excited about the new Treehouse Villas.

Glad to see all these LA folks on here. Have any of you been to the LA pavillion at the F&W festival at EPCOT? Wish I could be there to check it out!

Howdy neighbor! We are in West Monroe!!!! There are a couple of other posters on the thread that are close to us too.....Ruston, Shreveport, Rayville and Bossier.

I betcha we know some of the same folks or maybe even know each other! My sister lives in WM too. She goes by the handle JonDee on Disboards. They went to WDW in August.

I am REALLY looking forward to our January trip since my June one was a bust. I'm in physical therapy to try to rehab my leg enough that I don't end up needing a wheelchair part of the day.

Wow just found this thread! I'm in Baton Rouge (Geaux Tigers!). We don't have a plan yet but we are going back to the "World" sometime in late May of 2009! Nice to see so many locals on this!

dw and i live in extreme souht arkansas,(crossett) but both work in la. shes a waitress at huddle house in bastrop, i am a plumbing specialist at lowes of monroe....

Hi Froggy, my son works in north Louisiana and in southern Arkansas. He's in the oil and gas business.

as of right now we have no trips planned. we have discovered over the years that we seem to do better when we just decide one week we are out of here jump in the truck and go.
