Where are all the Louisiana WDW lovers? UPDATED 1ST POST WITH DATES!

Happy Mardi Gras everyone!

I wish I was in Disney!! My aunt keeps sending me text messages from the parks. She LOVES the new American Idol Experience!

I don't know if I can wait until September!!!

I can't wait to see the AI Experience!!!!:woohoo:

Hi everyone, new here on this thread. Didn't even know it existed -- but thanks to mickeystoontown -- I see I'm not alone!!!

Most people I meet here in Louisiana, can't understand my desire to "go to WDW AGAIN".

Glad to be surrounded by other Disney Freaks from my area.

Wish I would have been there for Mardi Gras, but instead we are heading down for our first ever Summer Time Kids Out of School Trip --- sounds pretty scarry now that I think about it. Heat, Crowds, Lines oh my!!! I hope we can just relax and take it moment by moment. If I don't see everything it's not the end of the world right? right? I'll be back again next year.

Hello! Fairly new myself -- more of a lurker...
If you split your day by starting in the park in the AM and the resort or water park in the mid day and back to the park in the PM the heat is not to bad. Actually, the last time we went in June we found it hot but not as bad as the LA heat. DH seems to think even though you are not on the coast you still get the ocean winds. Not to mention disney has fans and ac set up in the line areas.
We were orginally going in Jan but decided to use the 4/3 deal last week of May (have to wait for DS16 to complete the school year) and then were pleasantly surprised with the miltary ticket deal. (DDbf is retired miltary). Our Universal/IOA two days will be the challange as we will not leave for the resort. DH is worried about the heat w/DS2; when we went in June 96 DS16 was 4 and even though we split the days he would get so hot he would not eat throughout the day.

Have fun!!! Lucky you about next year!! DH only lets me start to think about it every 5yrs. But, its not so bad we always go somewhere maybe I can talk him into Hawaii or Yellowstone for the next two years.

Hi everyone. I've lived in LA for almost four years now. In Ruston (Lincoln Parish). We're taking the whole family to WDW in December. Can't wait to go! I haven't been there in 20 years!

Hi everyone! :)

I had no idea this thread existed - I don't visit the CB too much anymore.

We're near Gonzales, and we're headed back to Disney this May!:thumbsup2

On the lookout for those alien green Mickeys.

We should make some Mardi Gras colored Mickey heads - purple, gold, & lime green!

.

Howdy! from Ponchatoula. We will be there at the same time (May 22-29). Maybe we'll run into one another to say hello! We'll be the group with the dbl stroller w/ one child riding (joined a stroller swap).

We are driving, staying at ASMu.
See ya there!

You're going to have a blast, DH & I went adult only last year and it's a totally different experience!:thumbsup2

I'd love to do an adults-only trip during the F&W festival, but I'm afraid I wouldn't enjoy myself because I'd feel guilty about leaving DS behind. Maybe I'll just wait until he's a teenager and doesn't want to be around us anymore!

This will be our only kid-free trip other than our own Senior trip in '97, so we are REALLY looking forward to it!!! We're also celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary this trip. :lovestruc
