When you wish upon a star, a FAMILY trip comes true. May 2011 UPDATE 6/21 p.10-2posts

Ok.. don't panic but I'm worried because everyone was unaware of this process.. I swear that someone told me before that we could do this and I just never did because I felt like it was a waste of 2 credits.. I'm going to have to call. Don't change anything until I call!!! :scared:

I wouldn't be allowed to change ADRs without a council anyways ;) Well unless it was All You Can Eat Sushi. In which case I am always allowed to assume everyone will eat there. I guess I'll have the knowledge (when you call) pocketed for the next trip.:rotfl:

Well.. the bad news is that we can't use 2 QS for 1 TS.. soo no need to change anything and it will be the same for next trip. I love sushi. What places have the best sushi? Are any snack credits?

Your plans look great. and I'm sorry but I am so :rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao: at you very clearly freaking out online about the whole 2 QS = 1 TS math.

Don't Freak Out (its a Chuck thing;))

You have a lot of the same places on your list that are on mine. Can't wait to compare TR's after the fact!

We agreed to skip Cosmic Ray's this year so that we try something new,but I have to say their lunches are quite nice, and fairly well balanced. I love their roasted chicken.

Your poster looks great and :dance3:WHAHOO to getting Mickey Mail.

When you are at Whispering Canyons, be sure to talk someone (but not you:laughing:) in to asking for ketchup:lmao::lmao:...you will not be sorry.

I'm not freaking.. I'll be ok.. ;)

Yes, I also love hearing about places that I'm eating at or have ate at.. its always nice to hear other thoughts and if they meant their expectations.

I'm happy I got mickey mail too.. still waiting for part of it though!

I've read about the whole ketchup thing.. thankfully I don't really like ketchup.. but my dad does...;) I'll purposely not say anything and see what happens!

Ok, apparently, I was wrong about the whole "using 2 QS for 1 TS". I know they we either did that for pizza on our last trip or used a TS for a QS meal.. either way.. we did something similar because I remember the CM stating our options. I bet they changed this because they offer the QS meal only dining plan now and they don't want people purchasing this and using it all for TS. I'm sorry if I got any of you super excited and wanting to change your plans. I have to go through mine now and change or cancel something.. I want to SCREAM... as much as I love Disney.. I just don't want to change it again, its starting to get aggravating. I should be able to relax and wait for my trip at this point! hehe I have some new job plans to share-- none of us has jobs yet- but I was offered a job (not teaching) in one part of the state and DH has 2 interviews near my parents tomorrow- on the other side of the state.. cool huh?! NOT. But I'm glad that we have options.. I'll share more later, but for now I have to leave and go to work.

Hope everyone is having a great day! :goodvibes

Oh my gosh, working on different sides of the state would not be good! :headache: But...congrats to the both of you for getting offers/interviews! :)

Good luck changing stuff around. :headache: Just think..it will all be worth it in the end. :goodvibes

Glad to hear you and your DH got job offers! Even if they are on opposite sides of the state, at least you have some options!! :thumbsup2

Girl, we are both getting so close! When is your graduation?

Well.. we wouldn't work in different areas- we are staying together.. its just frustrating how they are both completely far away from each other. hehe

Yes, the change will actually be easy- once I decide what I want to delete....

Glad to hear you and your DH got job offers! Even if they are on opposite sides of the state, at least you have some options!! :thumbsup2

Girl, we are both getting so close! When is your graduation?

Yes, we have some Austins and I'll share the news in my next update1

My graduation is tomorrow!! (Saturday)!! YAY.. I'm getting things around for it right now. :goodvibes

Sorry to hear about your husbands job but it sounds like he has some prospects. Good luck.

Love your plans. We will also be at MK on the 28th. Maybe we can meet up & say hi.

Congrats to you on your graduation!!!:thumbsup2:woohoo:

Hello Everyone!

I'm kind of having a crisis over here trying to decide on which TS to delete. Since I can use 2 QS for 1 TS and I made an extra reservation for when my Gma visits- I have to delete one.. I've narrowed it down between 2 choices.. Raglan Road or Le Cellier.

Le Cellier because its a steakhouse and we are going during lunch- so they might not have a FULL menu to order from and we are already eating at Coral Reef. I'm not saying Coral Reef steaks are better or worse- but we don't eat at Coral Reef for the seafood- we eat steak. We just love the atmosphere. So I added it because we already have a "steak" dinner. I know there are other choices besides steak but in the beginning I added Le Cellier because DH wanted to go here last time and we couldn't.

Raglan Road because its not one of our top choices, it was something I added for DH because he's Irish and the menu looks delicious. I feel bad deleting this because this was my choice for Austy.

He said delete Raglan Road- but I want your input too!! Should I let go of Raglan Road or Le Cellier?

Raglan Road is schedule for a late dinner after a breakfast at Tuskerhouse and waterpark day and Le Cellier is a late lunch on our last day. Whatever one we cancel will be replaced with a QS meal.

1. More Disney Info-- I finally received my Magic Express mail today- so now I have everything we need!

2. I've been feeling a lot of stress about my friend Amber visiting at AK on her very first WDW visit ever. She says she doesn't care which day but I feel like she should visit MK first because this park has the most attractions/rides/shows geared towards Disney movies-which she is a huge fan of. However, she does love animals and use to work at a zoo. I know she will like AK, I'm just afraid she will be disappointed with the lack of disney movie attractions besides shows. The problem is she can only visit on the weekends- so this only gives her 2 days during my stay. The first MK day is CRT ressies and I can't change those. I need to relax, but what do you guys think?!

Non-Disney News:

A lot has happened in the last week or so and our plans changed like 5 times.. hehe, but I will give you a quick overview of what is taking place right now.

1. DH got a job near my parents and accepted the job
2. He has another job interview for a part time position in EMS (he only wants to gain experience).
3. My friend Amber said he school in FL is hiring teachers for next year, I sent the principal my resume and stuff- and she emailed me back saying she was going to call me this week.:woohoo: I'm not sure if I ever mentioned this or not but DH and I have talked about moving to FL for about 5 years now- always stating when "I graduate college". With all of this that had happened recently, I figured it wouldn't be happening BUT
4. We have decided to stay with my parents for a few weeks- maybe a month or 2 because our lease is up and don't want to resign knowing we won't be here or want to stay here, and because if we stay with them we can save moo-lah for a possible move. This opens up my availability to move all over MI or out of state.
5. I put in my notice at my job because we won't be living around here and its over an hour drive. I cried but I'm okay now.
6. We are moving the weekend of the 20th
7. The next week we leave for Disney. :hourglass

I believe that is everything... so much has happened I'm not sure if I updated you on everything or what you've missed. It looks like all that pixie dust made its way over here and I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel finally. :upsidedow

Again, thank you all for allowing me to vent and share my issues. I really appreciate it and I'm glad I have this report to post on!!

Next, I want to talk more about Disney stuff- so I think I'll post "My Top TEN favorite memories from last trip" and "My Top TEN Things I'm Most Excited About".. or something of that matter! :goodvibes

It sounds like you will have plenty to pass the next 2 1/2 weeks!! I think it would be slightly exciting to have a whole unknown future ahead...where the possibilities are endless!!! Good luck with all the potential out there!! :goodvibes Isn't it great that you have your parents and can stay there for awhile!?!

Regarding the reservation dilemma....I have not eaten at Raglan Road but we love Le Cellier! I totally get what you are saying about the two steak places though (with Coral Reef). We had lunch at Le Cellier last year and we had the filet which is the only thing we eat there because we are hooked!! It is so delish! But they may have changed the menu since the whole credit thing has changed since we were there. Also the chedder soup and the breads are super good!

Okay...can't wait for the next update!! I love Top Tens and looking back when it comes to Disney!! :goodvibes

Wow, definitely a lot has happened in your life! I hope you get that job in FL!! It'd be great if your DH could find one down there as well.
Hmmm, I'd probably lean toward dropping LeCellier, honestly. We like to vary our food choices-- you'd hate to be sick of steak. I think eating there would make the Coral Reef more special.

See, things are looking up already! Congrats to Austin for finding a job and good luck to you - moving to Florida would be awesome!

Which ADR to cancel is tough! How far apart are the Coral Reef and Le Cellier ADRs? I've never eaten at Raglan Road, but I sure can't see me giving up Le Cellier - ever! I have seen the new lunch menu and the filet is on there, it's the only thing I ever order, it's really good. I'd also be afraid that after a day at the waterpark you might not feel like getting out again, being in the water all day always makes me tired, I would almost rather cancel that ADR and grab QS at the resort and just take it easy that night.

Raglan Road is schedule for a late dinner after a breakfast at Tuskerhouse and waterpark day and Le Cellier is a late lunch on our last day. Whatever one we cancel will be replaced with a QS meal.

Based on your plans I would skip Raglan Road. Here's my thinking: water parks make people hungry!!! Even if you have a big breakfast in AK, if you spend the day at a water park, you may not want to wait until you have time to go back to the resort, freshen up, then go to DTD. So by canceling late dinner ADR, you have the freedom to catch a QS meal anywhere - resort, DTD, park, whatever.

1. More Disney Info-- I finally received my Magic Express mail today- so now I have everything we need!

ok I forget - what is the other park you are doing aside from AK? I think that all the parks feel very magical, including AK. The parade is so much fun , the shows are great, I don't think that she will feel that she's missing any Disney magic.

I'd say delete Raglan Road too...but I've never eaten at LC or RR...so I'm a bad judge lol

OMG so much is going on in your life! I wish I had my certification because I'd be applying to teach in FL right now too...but congrats!! Keep us updated on what happens with that.

It sounds like a smart idea to move in with your parents. When Chris and I get married we'll most likely be living with my parents until we move to FL!

Ok- you pretty much won me at cheddar soup and bread! hehe and yes, I'm happy that I have been my parents in this situation because things would be a lot more stressful if not. I just want to fast forward to Disney and then after fast forward until I find a teaching job. hehe

Wow, definitely a lot has happened in your life! I hope you get that job in FL!! It'd be great if your DH could find one down there as well.

Thank you! I hope I do too and DH wouldn't have a hard time finding a job down there ( I don't think) because there are a lot of opportunities for his field.

I know this is such a hard decision on what to drop, but I believe I've made my decision and will share soon!

See, things are looking up already! Congrats to Austin for finding a job and good luck to you - moving to Florida would be awesome!

Coral Reef is day 4 (Monday) and Le Cellier is day 9 (Saturday and also our last day). I think I've made my decision...

You are probably right about the waterpark thing- I usually get really tired and hungry after swimming all day. and its also suppose to be a somewhat relaxing day. You are so smart ;) hehe thank you!

We are doing all of the parks and probably BB for the waterpark. She can only come on a Sat. or Sun. But I'm sure she will like it- I'm just worrying to much.

Wow you have so much going on in your life.popcorn:: Congrats on hubby's new job (whew!) and a potential interview in FL. :cheer2:HOw cool would that be! See, there's alwaya a light!!!

Thank you- and yes it would absolutely amazing and one of my dreams would finally come true! I'm hoping everything works out. ;)

I can't believe you've never eaten at Le Cellier- it seems with as many times as you have been you would have went to this popular location. But thank you for the suggestion anyway!

Well soon enough you will have you teaching certificate and you will be able to apply!!! You should like I did a year ago- we basically planned as if we were moving there! I will definitely keep you updated if anything happens!

13 Days!! :rainbow:

I can't wait to say "This time next week..." or even better when I can say "tomorrow morning I'm leaving"! It's getting soo close and I have soo much to do til then- so hopefully I'll stay busy.

I wanted to post tonight and possibly tomorrow because I probably won't be on here much this next week until the weekend because we will be staying at my parents this week cause DH starts his new job and we haven't moved yet. And I will have internet once I move but maybe not right away... so I'm hoping that I will have access not next week but the week after when we do move... idk.. ekk.

Well I believe I decided on canceling the Raglan Road dining ressie. After talking it over with DH and hearing all the great thoughts on here I feel much better canceling RR then LeCellier. I figured we are going to Coral Reef in the beginning of the week and LeCellier on our last day, so its almost a week apart. Plus, I know my parents will probably enjoy LeCellier more than RR. Plus, DH and I will go again in the future just us and we can always do it then.

I mentioned last time that in the celebration of the "teens" I wanted to post my Top Ten Favorite Memories of my last trip... so here it is!

Aww thank you! I actually wore my Wall-e shirt yesterday while moving!

The strawberry shortcakes have been calling my name since our last trip. It was soo delicious and I was to full to eat most of it because of food. So this year- its dessert first!

AKL if my favorite resort of them all. I like others almost as much, but there is something about this resort that I just can't get enough of!

3 Days DANCE!!!! :dance3::woohoo::rotfl::cool1::lmao::cheer2:

And I did online check in last night!! Exciting!!

Hello Everyone!! Sorry I have been MIA this last week or soo...

I had planned on posting on here quite a few more times before now, but with moving and staying at my parents last week, there was just noo time.

I don't have a lot of time today, I just finished moving yesterday and I still have boxes everywhere, laundry to do, and organizing like mad. I also need to continue packing for Disney!! I started last week but then with everything going on I haven't had time and I'm kind of starting to panic.. thinking I'll forget something! EKK! I did make a list though, so hopefully that will help!

I also bought a few new items, and I will share pictures promise- I just don't have them right now, everything is packed up somewhere or being washed.. but I'll make a list to share for now!

1. My madre bought me a Little Mermaid beach towel! It is soo colorful and pretty.
2. Austin bought some plain t-shirts (he always buys plain colored t-shirts)
3. Austin got new bathing suit trunks.. I picked them out!
4. I bought 2 new pairs of shorts
5. I finally got my new Minnie lollipop tank top!
6. I bought some medicine to take this week so my ears don't pop like crazy on plane.
I believe that its.. but I'll share pictures later!

And as promised..

Ten Things I'm Most Excited About-- (in no particular order)
1. Waking up the morning of (this friday!!!!) and heading to the airport- knowing we will be in Disney for 8 longgg days!
2.Being able to see my Gma, at Disney again- the first time since I was in 3rd grade. Although, because my Gma has some health issues and has to carry around a oxygen tank right now, she isn't going to MK now. Instead she is just going to visit us on Friday (our first day) while we are in DTD. I'm still excited!!
3. Visiting MK for the first time with my parents since I was in 3rd grade. I don't remember entering the park or seeing Cinderellas Castle.. but this time I will.
4. Returning to Boma in the AKL and showing my parents this amazing resort!
5. Actually having time to spend in the pool area at the resort. Last time, it rained constantly on and off and we didn't really get to "lay out and enjoy the sun".
6. Wearing my new Disney apparel!! I bought so many items over the last year that I won't let myself wear until Disney. I'm really starting to get antsy now!
7. Eating at Cinderella's Royal Table!! As you guys know from reading my posts- this is my first time eating at Cinderellas and I am extremely excited! The other day I read an article online about someones experience there and it made me soo much more excited for the experience. I'm glad my mom demanded we eat there.
8. Being at Disney for 9 days!! (Did I mention this already?!! hehe ;)) See this is the longest trip I've taken at Disney, last trip was suppose to 8 days but we had to shorten it because of Austins job and it was only 6.
9. Seeing my best friend at Disney World. My best friend Amber since 9th grade lives in FL (but wants to move back to MI- who would of thought?!), is coming to visit me during my stay and during our day at AK! She has never been to WDW, only to Harry Potter. She has always wanted to but never has, and she is a huge fan of Disney movies as well. The only day I could change my reservation was Sunday, 29th- so she will be with us during out first AK day and Boma ressie.
10. Seeing my parents faces and reaction to rides, shows, and attractions. Whenever we go on vacas (camping or bigger), my dads whole aura changes. Its like he lets the stresses of life let him go and he is completely goofy and childlike the whole time. I mean he is always joking and being goofy but when we are on vaca it's like he is completely happy and trouble-free. He gets excited for things like a little kid and I love that. On Saturday night, after a family bon-fire with Austin, when we got back to my parents, my dad was still up- we sat down on the couch and started talking and my dad brought up Summit Plummit at Blizzard Beach. (Which they have been talking about since we booked the trip). Before we knew it- we were watching the Disney trip planning video and talked about Disney for like an hour... hehe It was funny!

2 DAYSSSSSSS! :jumping1::goofy::tigger::dumbo::hmghost:

Good Morning... or afternoon wherever your location might be! I posted yesterday and have had nooo readers, but I know that a few of you probably already left for Disney:banana: and I missed your send-off!

I'm starting to get that really anxious feeling.. or maybe its antsy.. either way its becoming harder and harder to fall asleep or stay sleeping when I can sleep in! I'm glad because I'm pretty busy throughout the day.. still doing the same thing as yesterday- unpacking- putting away clothes, packing clothes and other accessories, and laundry. I am almost done with laundry- but its to the point where I'm waiting for certain things to get done in order to continue packing. I did take a few pictures to share today.. a lot of stuff is packed up now.. but here is what I have to share...

My new pink luggage- somewhat packed..

I put the Disney tags on my luggage and carry-on!

Also, this past week I was in the mood to be crafty! I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned before but I have been making hairbows for one of my best friends daughters... and I made some more this week but they are actually to take to my moms work. She works at a salon and she said she would try selling them there. So I'm excited to test out of the waters, if people like them- I might make more and take them to craft shows in the summer- that would be FUN!

These ones I made with left over items from the ones I made for my friend. I made these this week.

I'm not sure why the pics loaded sideways, I try reloading and they still do that.. sorry. I suppose sideways pics are better than no pics!

I'll probably be back tomorrow to post again! I have a hair appt and I'm getting a manicure with nail art possibly, and a pedicure! YAY!
