search out hotels that have hs internet access?

My company is sending me to Frisco in a few weeks. They made sure to put us up in a hotel that had hs internet access. Certainly not something I would have thought about a couple years ago. I can chat at night. :)

Um, I should not share the story about the hotel that my wedding reception was at...

No matter what anyone says, my sister went up to the room to get Advil and drop off my veil -- NOT to upload the photos of the ceremony and first dance onto the Internet.

To be fair, my best friend was in Enland and couldn't make it across the pond, so the pictures were so she could feel like she was there! ;)

It does not matter to me as I dont have a laptop...but if I did, it would be nice. I know some hotels, like Wingate, cater to business travelers and have HS lines in the room. T1's I believe.

I tend to look for the indoor pools and hottubs myself..LOL:bounce:

I dont have a lap top so we dont usually look for that in a hotel. Which Frisco are you going to??

NO.

I stay away from computers (and pagers and cell phones) when I am on vacation.

I'm with Deb..
Vacation=away from computer also...

When DH and I cruise we usually spend a week or two in Florida as well, visiting his Dad and sightseeing. While on the cruise I don't worry about e-mailing anyone, but while in Florida we usually spend 2-3 nights at the Desert Inn at Daytona Beach and they have an Internet Room downstairs with several computers, plus they have two computers in the lobby. It is always fun to get on-line once or twice while we're there to catch up on e-mail and check in to the DIS too!! :D

One thing I look forward to when I go away on vacation is NOT using the computer. I find the break refreshing. :sunny:

I have two ISP's, one for personal/home and one for work. Both have local access numbers in almost every place I've been too... the only time I didn't have a local access number was in a small town in the middle of Iowa, and once in a small town in SD, and neither of those hotels (only 1 hotel in town) had internet service... but in general, it's cheaper for me to dial a local number (sometimes up to $1.00 a call) than the $9.95 a day for internet access..... but I have learned to check the Hotel local phone call policy carefully, some hotels will charge you so much per minute for local calls over 60 minutes, and in CA I've seen charges for local calls over 30 minutes....

Being in a hotel with only dial-up helps keep DH from working all vacation! He hates how slow it is.

He claims he's taking his laptop for personnel use. Sometimes he even tries "I thought you might what to check your e-mails while we're gone, dear" LOL He always ends up checking into work several times a trip.:rolleyes:

No.

BTW where is "Frisco?" LOL
