I'd like to know this too. I've never been over to Pop Century, so it's hard for me to visualize. Can you walk from Ariel to the big blue pool reasonably comfortably say with 2 kids, or will you need to take a bus from Ariel section? Also does Ariel have it's own check in desk, or do you check in at the main building and then have to lug all your stuff over to Ariel?
From what I saw of the resort map, it looks to be as far as the 80s and 90s are at Pop Century. IMHO, it's not that bad. I've stayed in those sections at Pop. YMMV.

It is about a 5-7 minute walk. Some people are making it seem like it is at the end of the Earth. It is not THAT far from the main building. With so much to look at along the way, it will be an enjoyable stroll for most people.
When I stayed at CSR they stuck us in Ranchos which is close to the pool but FAR away from everything else and there is a reason that Cast members are on golf carts around the resort, after walking around the parks all day the last thing I want to do is walk the length of the resort to my room. It was probably good for me though but you aren't thinking that in Flordia heat.
