...what do you call the unpopped kernels? We had a word for them when I was a kid, but I can not for the life of me remember what it was! We just call them kernels now.

One of my friends called them "grundies," which was what my mom called dirty underwear!

We never had a word for the unpopped ones, but the half-popped ones are called "dead soldiers" in my family.

Now that I think about it, that's kinda sad....

I have never thought about this! It's funny that old maids seems to be the most common, considering the origin is probably R rated!...LOL!

I really like popnots and duds though!! Way fewer syllables than "unpopped kernals".
