When You Listen to the Podcast....Do You Picture it?

Sounds a little weird I know, but when I'm just listening to the podcast, not multi-tasking, listening and doing something else, I sort of picture the whole thing in my head like I do when I'm reading a book.

I picture the podcast room with bluish gray walls for some reason, 2 windows on one wall. There really aren't any pictures or anything on the walls, but there are shelves attached to the walls with some Disney knicknacks and books on them and a "computer station" along one wall with a desk and the round table sort of in the middle of the room. In my mind the room is kinda cluttered, not dirty or anything, but with papers and wires and stuff around. And then I picture Kevin talking or Corey or Pete or whoever with some snacks in the middle of the table.

Is that weird? Anybody else do this? (I hope) What does your podcast room look like?

that you're not alone out there. I do this all the time. My room is sort of plain though, just white walls, maybe some kind of picture frame or two (just a small accent) and a big 'dining room like' table with lots of paper. I always see paper scattered around the table. I also see laptops beside everyone, maybe its just the tech in me but...

I thought Pete mentioned something about the room in one of the podcasts? Like there was a window or something that Max could look out of now? Anybody?

I do that too! For some reason in my mind they are sitting around a table that looks like my old dining room table growing up. No windows though.

There are white walls, wood trim, hardwood floors, a couple of windows, the round table (I really believe Pete has better taste than the table I've picked out for him...picture one of those tables you find at the local VFW, with the folding legs...I really hate the table I imagine, and I know Pete has a much nicer one). There is a couple of low filing cabinets with things stacked on them, and a Poland Springs water cooler in the corner. I see the furnishings as temporary, until something much more comfortable is shipped (I believe there are some lovely Ethan Allen pieces on order here).

I don't know Mindy...I THINK Pete mentioned one time that BOB picked out the table and they drilled holes in it for the mike wires, so you might be dead on!

I picture mis-matched chairs around the table and for some reason I always picture Kevin in plain white t-shirts and Julie in a pink tank tops.

I picture a big round wooden table and more them laughing and cracking up not so much the room. With papers everywhere on the table and highlighters. I am a kook though.

In my mind, the podcast team is sitting around a large (~6 feet in diameter) round cherry wood table with microphones on the slight right, laptops (15" MacBook Pros) in the middle and papers on the left. Directly behind Pete (who is wearing a black and white striped button down shirt and loose jeans) is a large window facing the front yard with Max looking out at a rabbit. Bob is sitting at the opposite side of Pete with a door leading to a butler's pantry and kitchen further on. He is wearing an olive green polo and khaki shorts. Kevin is sitting on the right side of Pete wearing a pink and green striped polo and faded jeans. To the right of him is John, who is wearing a grey sweater and khaki pants, reclining back in the chair and re-reading notes for his RapidFire. On the left side of Pete is Corey, who is wearing a plaid button down shirt (much like the one I am wearing right now) faded jeans, and navy blue Crocs. Corey is using a non-Mac laptop with a baseball cap sitting behind it. To his left is Julie who is wearing an aqua blue tank top with knee-cut pants, of either grey or beige. The room is decorated with Disney merchandise, and large posters on the wall. Everything is well-lit, especially the table and movie posters on the wall, which is blood red... I am so weird!

We have seen pictures of almost all members of the podcast crew except John, so I'll pick on him. I always picture him as I do John Clark from the Tom Clancy "Jack Ryan" novels. He's never pictured because he has a mysterious background involving the CIA.... (He and Kevin seem to have Disney sources to merit some consideration of this theory.)

Before the remodel, I imagined that the podcast was recorded in a small spare bedroom that had light pink walls with a wallpaper border of roses and ribbons. In my imagination this is the room that Pete had never gotten around to decorating and some little old lady lived in the house before him so the room still had mauve plush carpet which was faded from the one window in the room. The roundtable would have been a well used oak kitchen table left over from the early 90's and the chairs would have been mismatched. There was probably a computer desk shoved in the corner with so much hardware on it it looked like a computer graveyard. Each podcaster would have their drink next to their microphone - sort of like on American Idol - and John and Kevin would have a laptop between them and Corey would have one in front of him. But Bob would have a bunch of papers spread out in front of him. Julie and Pete would have one sheet of paper in front of them since in my head they are both tidy people. Oh and there is a spare chair in the corner for when Will would be made to sit in.

Post remodel I imagine it to be like a comfortable conference room with a British Colonial feel probably with hard wood floors - although I don't have any idea how that would work, don't they need carpet for the sound to record properly?

Pete, Bob, Julie, Corey, Kevin & John. Which makes sense, 'caus Julie was always helping Bob read his tiny print.

I didn't imagine laptops, Just Pete, having a computer.

Clean room.

Bulletin board on one wall. Disney "stuff" on the others.

Waters, but no snacks. They only snack on air when someone sends them a food gift.

I have to admit that I do picture them sitting at a table with headphones on, but I do not picture what their outfits.

I do this too! I didn't start picturing the room though until they moved to Pete's dining room during the remodel. Now, I can't get that image out of my head, even though they've moved to the permanent room......

Beige walls w/ off white trim, hardwood floors ('cause you can hear Max walking across the floor), two solid walls with an art piece or two, a very large picture window centered on the exterior wall (they mentioned seeing birds etc. during the podcast) and a dark rectangular mahogany table sitting on a light-colored area rug in the center of the room. It's very clean and tidy....like most formal dining rooms cause it's never used.

I have nothing to base this on. It's just in my head. So, Pete and team, describe...The Room. Or, better yet, Post a Pic!

I too picture the room and it is similar to what some others have descibed - a bit of a tech feel with computer and wires and also papers everywhere!! Table is cherry wood, room is tidy, and they are just having a blast doing this! I think from now on I will picture them each having a dole whip too!

there are no pictures... but I can describe them. Julie is stunningly beautiful with dark hair... I thought Corey would be taller, but he pretty much could have come off the beach, lightly jogging out of the surf. Kevin is Tall. But he doesn't have the tall guy feeling when you meet him... but very tall. John is tall, and as in other threads Describing him as John Lassiter esque I think is a good way to put it. Pete is the warm smile type that when you see him and you think, I know that guy from somewhere, I think I went to HS with him. Will looks like a typical skinny college student. And I think Will is probably more shy than John. Which is pretty shy.

I think we've established that the table is round because that was a listener email that was answered a while back (maybe a year or so?) and it was confirmed - yes, the table is round. Someone suggested Pete getting a world map and Pete thought it was a good idea but he was going to do it after the remodeling but I don't think they have it yet. I picture the walls kinda empty right now but I don't think Pete would have anything less than the best furniture - including his roundtable.

I picture the new room with a very pretty blue-gray walls...One time there was a vote for Bawb sticker in the room....

They have mis matched chairs....but they all like their chairs.

A dog and cat bed.

Soda bottles for Kevin and John, Julie and Corey have water bottles, Not sure what Pete drinks, Cold coffee?

A super nice Mac lap top is there and everyone has their i-phones on the table.

Pete's lucky cat is on the table.

Eveyone has some email print outs in front of them, highlighters and the ocasional menu.

The best topsecret Disney library in the world.

Oh yea Will in the peanut gallery, with his restraint order framed next to him!
