When you know you've made it...

I know the wait is finally over and I've made it back when I go under the Walt Disney World sign and start to see the buses everywhere!!! It's like "Aaaaahh"

I agree. The Welcome to Walt Disney World sign always does it for me. I actually took a photo of it and that's one of my favourites!!

My DS first trip was when he was when he was 16 months old, as soon as we hit the Welcome to Disney World sign he started clapping, as if he knew he was there, for me this will always be the time when I KNOW I am there, he ins now about to turn four and looking forward to his fourth trip this fall.

Once we start to drive down there, that's when it hits me- I'm really going! The trip down is one of the funnest parts because you know you're about to experience Disney!

I'd have to say though, entering the parks is what really gets my heart pumping! (And the adrenaline rush of racing to the first ride!)

This is us ! We throw our hands in the air and yell "YEAH" as we drive under the "welcome" sign. Been doing it since the kids were little.

Of course the welcome sign but for me its walking under the train station in the magic kingdom the smell of popcorn and the sounds......AAAHHHH!

I know what you mean. Obviously Main street always looks so wonderful, but the best thing for me is the sound of the music and the smell of the popcorn. It gets all your senses going

For us, it's also the sign as you come on the property. From that moment on, we know we won't be faced with the world's troubles for at least a week and that our biggest decisions will be "Which park and where do we eat?"

Once we hit Orlando ground on the plane. My favorite though is our very first entrance to Main Street USA- now that is Disney to us!!!!!!!!

My first memories of disney when I was little was going crazy over seeing the castle. So when I see the castle for the first time I get the crazies and for me that's it.

We arrive by Amtrak in Kissimmee and take a cab to WDW. When we see the main gate and start seeing the monorail tracks, we know we're almost there. When we get our bags out of the cab and enter the resort, either Poly or WL, we know we're in the lap of luxury. We revert back to childhood, put grins on our faces, and we're over 50, and slide into the mood of no worries. Best feeling in the world but the only draw back is the lingering thought of vacation is over and going home. Very hard to leave and say good-bye.

For our family, it's when we ride the "mini-monorail" at MCO. WE ARE BACK!!!!
