Even though we're staying in a studio I'm thinking of getting some basic groceries from a delivery service as we won't have a car. Do you tip in addition to the delivery fee?

I look at it this way:

You re-pay for the groceries what is spent.
The delivery fee goes to the company you contracted with.
The Tip is just like anywhere else when someone is doing you a service.
doorman. bellhop, waitress etc.

If they did a good job the tip should reflect same.

Thanks, I don't mind tipping but I am wondering if it will be worth it for me since I will probably only order $50-$60 in groceries and will be paying for delivery plus tip.... It's probably best to just get the items in the store at SSR.

But what if your not present to receive the groceries and bell services takes them for you???

Wow, I just checked the prices on the DVC Member website... it's beginning to look like a tip and delivery charge might be a bargain!

Yes, I have and will continue to do so. Its a great service and I appreciate it.

when ever you order something delivered you should tip the delivery person.
The service charge goes to the company.

Having groceries delivered to your hotel is just klike haveing a pizza delivered.
He gets a tip.
If the delivery is made when you are out the delivery person misses out.
I do not know if i would trust a bell person to pass along a tip.
