When you can't eat the food but wish to have the experience

This is just a silly rambling but is there anybody else out there with digestive problems that wishes they could bring their lunchbox to the restaurants? I am unable to eat the food at the restaurants anymore because of health problems after an emergency surgery, but sometimes I really wish to have the experience. I'd like to be able to go to Biergarten with my mom, or to sit by the windows at the Whispering Canyon, or by the water at the Cantina, or watch the boats go by at the tables with the candlelight inside the Mexican building. I wish there was a way to pay for my being there even if I was bringing my own food and if there was some way to keep my own food hot... I know Disney is accommodating to allergies but my problem is more than just allergies. I suppose at the casual places like the Cantina I can still do this being I am with somebody eating there, or if I just bought a water.

Biergarten would be an issue as it's a buffet and they would charge you whether you ate or not. Can you order a beverage at the a la carte restaurants? My sister and I have gone to San Angel in Mexico and just ordered drinks and apps. If it's an a la carte restaurant like Whispering Canyon or San Angel, I don't think they would have an issue if you were there with another guest who was ordering some type of meal. I do not think you could bring your own food in, however.
