If you had a choice between going during time the kids were already out of school for a week in April (end of April) OR going in June (which also would be during the time of my youngest's 5th birthday)- which would you choose according to park hours, park crowds during each time, weather, etc. ?

Just curious. We've never been EITHER of those times in the past (always Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas or in Jan in the past) so I am not sure if one is significantly better than the other when considering the things I mentioned above.
??

I went during the last week in April and thought is was great. The weather was good (only one day of rain), crowds were not bad, and I had no problems doing all I wanted to do during the park hours. IMO, I would think the last week in April might be better than June. I'd think that June would be more crowded as it will be summer break for most. I would definately go during that time again.

That's kinda what I was thinking. When we decided to do a trip this year to WDW since our Feb 2005 cruise/WDW trip got postponed to June 2006 (because of school schedules changing) I just immediately thought only of the summer time they were out of school- and figured we'd do it in June around my youngest daughter's (ie: the 2nd biggest Disney fan in this family LOL) birthday. But then I started thinking- we've never been in June. And even though we're from Texas and used to heat- we usually spend our summer days in WATER (water parks, pool, etc.) LOL I started thinking it's going to be really hot- and also really crowded (I'd be going on this trip with 3 kids by myself, DH wouldn't be coming on this trip- he'd be at work all week).

So I was wondering if others would say good things about the end of April instead of June. Anyone else confirm what she posted?

I checked and the rates for when we would have to go (from April 22 or so- last week of April) are the same rates as in June. Doesn't that mean it's busier during that time? Isn't that how they do the rates as in non-peak, regular, peak, etc? Does that mean the last week of April is the "usual" spring break time for most schools? ( I don't know since we always had a week off in Feb and week off earlier in April- but they changed the schedules this year to only the week off end of April).

It looks like since the rate is higher exactly during the time in April that it might be just as busy because of all the spring breaks at schools?
