When would YOU choose to go?

Planning a trip for NEXT year and struggling with when to go. I'd initially thought of going in Jan or Feb....but something about springtime just seems "right" for a Disney trip. Since Easter is late April next year, I'm thinking it would be better to go on our spring break which is the last week in March. I would love to get opinions on when YOU would choose to go......Jan/Feb or late March?

I don't know if I can be of much help but we are now also looking at moving our trip from Dec to later due to to much going on here. I had considered spring break, but we have done that before and it was crowded. I am thinking of Feb, or waiting until early May or the first week in June. The thoughts of going to Disney when it's cold & NOT Christmas is just killing me.

Told ya, not much help from me. :rotfl2:

I live in Florida and it was SO COLD this winter for SO LONG. (Ok, I know that's relative LOL) But now the thought of Disney in Feb. makes me shiver. Hmmmmm. Jack Frost or body-crushing crowds? Decisions, decisions!

We have gone the last 2 years during the last week of January/1st week of February. My children both have their birthdays during the 1st week of February.

I really like this time of year. Yes, the weather is very unpredictable. You might be wearing a parka one day and shorts the next, but the crowds are very low and ADR's are very easy to come by. While I like warm water, the kids and DH always find time to swim. We generally walk on rides and are able to do everything that the kids like.

We are from Michigan, so a little chilly weather is nothing like what we would be experiencing at home! We are planning on another trip this time of year next year.

If you are looking for low crowd levels, avoid the normal spring break/Easter period. February is a great time for low crowds, if you avoid President's Day weekend.

Crowds are pretty low right now, so if you could try for the end of April/first of May time frame, you'd do well. The closer it gets to summer, the busier it will get.

We've found Feb to be a bit on the cold side. March seems warmer. But it does vary from year to year. ( We typically go right last day of Feb into March, and have seen it change while we've been there )

we are going around MLK weekend for the second year in a row. It actually wasn't too bad out. IT was honestly one of my favorite trips due to the super low crowds.

We usually go Jan / Feb and would always choose the slightly cooler weather (as I am from London Orlando winters are just slightly cooler to me and certainly not cold!!!!!) and non existent crowds over any other time. But that is just us.

My vote is Jan./Feb. I would never go during a high-crowd time. It just wouldn't be as enjoyable for my family. My husband gets anxiety from crowds of people and we have 4 little ones.

Our '11 trip is scheduled for March and I'm already cringing over the crowd levels due to spring break. I've never been in Jan or Feb. My favorite times of year are September and May, both for crowd level and weather. Um, I mean July. Go in July.

I wouldn't go during spring break; the crowds just aren't worth it.

I would choose Jan/Feb (if you went the first week on Jan you could see some of the Christmas decorations, but it is a bit crowded until after the thrird or so).

We usually go during mid to late April. The weather is usually good and there is the F&G festival. My favorite time to go is right after Thanksgiving though.

Call me different, but I love going during the summer! Crowds and temps don't bother me. I enjoy seeing all the people vs. an empty park sort speak of that are at other times of the year.

We went in '07, we ended up going the week before Easter and the week after Easter (visited family in pensacola in between) and i'll say- before Easter was pretty nice. After Easter was a nightmare!
But it was very cool to see all the things out for the Flower and Garden festival.

I like it to be a bit warmer - if I'm going to FL, I want to be able to swim! I went in March once & it was really too cool for swimming for my taste.

We're looking at early- to mid-May for next year. How long after Easter do the crazy Easter crowds usually last? Since Easter is April 24th next year, do you think the crowds will be mostly gone by say, May 8th or so?
