For example, if you have an October UY for a contract that expires in 2042, would your last points be added to your account in October 2041 or October 2042? Thanks.
Since your ownership expires on January 31, 2042, the last possible date for points for you would be October 1, 2041.For example, if you have an October UY for a contract that expires in 2042, would your last points be added to your account in October 2041 or October 2042? Thanks.
Unless Disney disallows it, people could still bank points. But, all the people with expiring contracts will *only* have until 1/31/2042 to use them, so I imagine we’ll see LESS availability. (For example, I’ll get my last BRV and HHI points on 9/1/2041 but I only have until 1/31/2042 to use them.)Does this mean there would be great availability from December 1, 2041 through January 31, 2042 at those expiring resorts because they can only be booked by owners at nonexpiring resorts?

There's nothing in the contracts that say you won't get your 2041 UY points, so, yes, they'll get them, and yes, DEC UY will have 2 months to use them, unless they borrow them into their 2040 UY.Wait! Are they getting points for UY 2041? If that is the case, then those with Dec UY is getting hosed the most with only 2 months left to use their points!
Yes, I hope DVC is already considering how to handle this issue, although as others have pointed out, the people who will make the final decisions are probably in business school or maybe even college now.Wait! I am glad BLT doesn't expire in 2042. I will need to keep an eye on how this plays out should I decide to keep my contract until the very end.

So BLT expires in 2060, right? 18 years is another whole generation of MBAs!I am glad BLT doesn't expire in 2042. I will need to keep an eye on how this plays out should I decide to keep my contract until the very end.

Start borrowing 5 years before the end of contract, jump on at 11 months to book your home resort, or book elsewhere at 7 months. Resale owners at RIV should start walking their reservations 3 years beforehand!![]()

You and 200,000 of your closest friends, all vying for the same few hundred rooms...Start borrowing 5 years before the end of contract, jump on at 11 months to book your home resort, or book elsewhere at 7 months. Resale owners at RIV should start walking their reservations 3 years beforehand!![]()
Unfortunately (or fortunately in reality) you can't walk over the UY transition, or I am sure some of the folks would.Start borrowing 5 years before the end of contract, jump on at 11 months to book your home resort, or book elsewhere at 7 months. I continue to be amused at people worrying about what will happen 21 years from now.
