When will VWL be sold out?

Does anyone know the current capacity of VWL and will they only start to sell BCV when it is sold out?

I saw a post that said VWL was 20% sold and sales are brisk. Expected to be sold out as early as Nov of this year. BCV aren't suppose to be done until fall of 2002.

Whether or not VWL is sold-out won't be the deciding factor for starting sales at BCV. Florida law requires them to have the resort substantially built and they have to go through the licensing process before they can begin sales. Until they actually announce sales they also reserve the right to change their minds. There is no absolute guarantee this will be the next DVC resort although that's the indication. There is also the possibility this could be the start a different program.

I visited VWL two weeks ago. Guides there told me it was more than 20 percent sold out, and if sales continued at the present rate, it could be sold out by the end of this year. They also said marketing resprentatives have been speculating that BC villas might go on sale earlier than planned, and possibly might be presold, although Disney has never done presales. They said completion date for BC was still planned for the end of 2002.

If VWL really are expected to sell out by year end, how much do you want to bet that Disney will throw more money into the Beach Club to get it built more quickly.... It's funny how quickly these things go up with the right amount of money of course!

I think Chris is right. I was amazed at how fast they went from Hospitality House to 3 new buildings at OKW.

One thing that could slow down sales is the stinking stockmarket!
