Looking to buy a one day--park to park pass with the Express Pass added for December of this year. The Universal site does not go past May. I called, and the guy I spoke to has no idea when they will open up for our dates. Does anyone here have an idea how that works? Thanks!

you could probably buy the 1 day p2p pass now but the express portion of what you want won't be available this far out.

When did they start this nonsense of not being able to purchase single day tickets more than a couple months in advance? It never used to be like that. You could just buy a ticket and it would be good for any time. Is it since WDW came up with the stupid idea of having different single day tickets priced for different seasons and Universal stupidly followed?

As posted by keishashadow:
Wherever goest one, the other will surely follow:rolleyes1

WDW just raised some ticket and AP prices today. I only skimmed through the post because I don't do WDW. But...

Guess we will have more changes happening at UO

With another hotel being built, guess info will come out later

Some policies are still in effect and will be honored

Told this before but will repeat it here

I bought many 7 day, 2 park passes years ago when cost $79 then $99 each

I have the preferred ap since 2002 and renew it yearly

My 7 day, p2p passes were for when I took sons with me to use

Last year the passes would not scan and I exchanged them for day tickets
and used them last week for son for UO vacation

When an older one day single ticket did not scan last week/Sunday for son at the gate, went to guest services

Found out coding changed and not in the system any more

They exchanged the tickets again and reissued them
Tickets now say complimentary and expires 2030

Comp tickets can not be upgraded

In case UO follows wdw path of no nonexpiring tickets, I'm safe
My stack of p2p comp tickets will stay valid

With what I read here if not being able to purchase single day tickets for future use, makes me think UO will do as wdw and not have non expiring tickets in the future

I got lucky then as my tickets were reissued last Sunday as com tixs wth no expiration

You would think that, as a company, you would look to do something different than the competition, to set yourself apart.

I understand when one company does something that makes their product more competitive and is viewed as positive, then others will follow.

However, when a company does something that is not viewed as positive...and your company maintains a positive image and it isn't broke or mandatory, why would you follow suit?

No, I know that is the bottom line (and I am not talking about raising prices...I'm in the area of ticket exchanging as mentioned above)...I guess my question was more philosophical...as in wouldn't you actually make more money by attracting more people to your product. If I make something for a dollar and so does someone else. They are of equal quality and value. I sell mine for $1.25 and my competitor sales theirs for $1.25. I offer a full refund if they are not satisfied with my product in the first 30 days. They offer a partial refund within the first week. We both average about 2% of items returned. Our customers learn what the competition offers...I think they would like my policy better and I would earn more business that offsets the additional refund I offer. Why would I decide to follow suit with my competitor's policy?

We think different about this subject
And that is alright

I see it as they are in for the $

Disney is huge all over the world and peeps still come to Orlando
Many save for years to take this vacation
New ticket prices will become the cost of offsite hotel rooms for some
The Disney name alone calls peeps in
(Been going to the motherland since 1973 and see increases in the parks over all the years)

UO does care about guest satisfaction but I have my doubts disney does not

Basing that statement due to my experience staying onsite a week
Been home for 6 days now from that trip

If I dont like it and go elsewhere, there will be two peeps in line to take my place for it and pay the price
I can be disposable

Really for me, I still see UO as a bargain and will continue to return when things increase

Do have the preferred ap and even with that December increase, I still come out miles ahead

I find their ticket prices affordable even with the ap increase 2 months back
Day tickets and multi park passes may increase when Volcano Bay opens

If peeps don't like the additional costs, they don't buy the 3 park tickets and stay with the p2p ones or only do single day trips for the parks

And a year or so down the road, we may see a new gate and nightlife entertainment with another hotel if all goes as planned for UO
Prices will increase in all avenues but the public will get what they want

And now we both have shared our thoughts, we need to take any further discussion to the PM system

Have to stay on topic about the original if the thread

Back to business and let's just discuss
When tickets will go on sale

Many thanks!
