"Look at the World, so close and I'm halfway to it!'princess:
Hello and welcome to my pre trip report! Well maybe I should introduce myself!

My name is Raquel. I am 14 years old and currently a freshmen in high school. I have been to Disney about 17 or 18 times, (I lost track!) and I absolutely love it! I have been lingering the boards for a few years now, and never posted anything, so I finally decided that I wanted to write a trip report! :goodvibes

Well, today I was thinking about how excited I was to finally write my first trip report and I just couldn't wait. So an idea popped into my head. It was to write this pre trip report of course! I am so excited to share all of my plans with you guys!:)

I am going on my Disney vacation on April 1st, 2015! Exactly 22 days from right now! I am going with my Mom, my Dad, my sister Kayla, and my sister's boyfriend, Chris. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside and I am so excited!

This is my first post here on Disboards and I am so happy to finally have the guts to post something on here after wanting to do it for years!:rotfl2:

But please follow along! If you are following along, I would love for you to let me know and go ahead and comment!

There is a lot more information to come! I hope you enjoy!

Now on with the show!

Dearest Raquel,
I appreciate your passion for Disney and the Disboards community at such a young age. I myself am 14 years old and a freshman in high school as you are. Too bad we don't know each other because I am sure that we would be best friends. Have a great trip!

Chapter 1: Arrival Details
Okay so now for all the plans! :tinker:

We are arriving at Disney's Port Orleans: Riverside resort on Thursday, April 1st. Our flight is at 6:45 is the morning, so that means we have to get up at 3 am.:scared1: But its totally okay because its not like we are going to school or anything. We are going to the most happiest place on Earth! We are going to land at 9:50.

I love that this trip we have an early flight because this means that we will have the whole day ahead of us!

We will be at Walt Disney World for exactly 11 days. April 1st- April 11th. Our flight to return home is at 11:45 am. We are going to land at 2:15 pm.

This is our fourth time staying at Port Orleans: Riverside and it is one of my favorite hotels. We have stayed in the mansions once, the royal guest rooms once, alligator bayou once, and we are going to stay at alligator bayou again this time. I prefer the mansions or the princess rooms, but since there are five of us, the only option we have is alligator bayou. The last time we stayed in the alligator
bayou was in 2006, and we weren't big fans of them, but now the rooms are refurbished so we are giving it a try!:thumbsup2 From the videos that I watched, the rooms look very new and nicely themed, so I am excited to try something new.

Sorry this is so short and boring, but I want to get all the basics out of the way and then I will move on to the fun stuff!:goodvibes

Chapter 2: Dining Reservations

Here our the dining reservations that we have so far.
:tink:

April 1st- Ohana at 8:10 pm
April 2nd- Be Our Guest at 2:00 pm
April 2nd- California Grill at 9:15 pm
April 4th- Le Cellier Steakhouse at 12:35 pm
April 5th- Mama Melrose Fantasmic package at 12:15pm
April 6th- Raglan Road at 6:15 pm
April 7th- Garden Grill at 6:00 pm
April 8th- Cape May Cafe at 6:00 pm
April 10th- Kona at 5:20

The days that we don't have dinner reservations are because some of these places require two dinning credits and we are on the Disney Dining plan.

I am most excited to eat at California Grill so that we can watch the fireworks out on the balcony of the contemporary! It's going to be super cool and a whole new and different experience.

It is my family's tradition to eat at Ohana for the first night we get there, so I am also excited for that too. It is my favorite restaurant.

I also had booked a counter service reservation for Be Our Guest because sadly, I could not get any table service. But I have eaten for lunch and dinner before and they are both fantastic, so as long as we get to eat there, I am not complaining.:rotfl:

Have a magical night!

Chapter 5
Sorry for the lack of updates! I have been very busy lately but I promise to catch up!

My trip is coming up very soon, in 7 days! I still can't believe it!

Last trip that I went to Disney, which was in April of 2014, I suddenly decided that I wanted to become a pin trader! I had seen many people on the Dis pin trade and it always looked so much fun. I had gotten pins before, but I just thought of them as collectibles, and I never really wanted to trade them. But last trip, I was determined to pin trade for the first time. I had gotten a pack of mystery pins for the gift shop in Art of Animation (that's where we stayed last trip) and was ready to pin trade. I am so happy that I made that decision because pin trading is so much fun and I feel like I missed out on it all these years. :worried:

So for next trip, I am coming prepared so I have recently just purchased a pack of 50 pins off of amazon. This was the best deal! I have so many pins now and I'm so excited to trade them! I think I got 50 pins for 25 dollars! So this is a tip if you are going to begin pin trading: Buy pins before your trip begins. You can get so many more pins for such a cheaper price then buying them in Walt Disney World.

This is the first picture from the pack of pins I ordered. I really loved the princess shoe pins. I actually love them so much that it is going to be my goal this trip to collect them all!::yes::

This is the next set of pins. I really love the majority of them, and they are going to be so hard to trade.

Have a magical day!:wizard:
