I applied for the College Program late friday night and I recieved a thank you for applying email. I am wondering when I will get an email about the WBI. Does everyone get to take it? I am so excited for this opportunity but I am getting worried that I haven't got to take it yet.

I made a post on this the other day, you can see it here:

This is the best explanation
I found this posted directly from disneyprogramblog.com about the WBI:

"The web based interview is still part of the process.

However, the overall process has changed a little bit this recruiting season. Additional time is being spent on reviewing an application before asking an applicant to move forward with the interviewing process.

Not everyone who submits an application will be asked to move forward to the WBI.

If someone is selected to participate in the initial interview (WBI), they will receive an email with instructions on how to proceed. For some applicants, this email may come within a few hours of submitting their application. For others, it could be several days or even weeks.

Anyone who is selected to continue to the interview process will be informed by November 15."

Your not alone i know of my self and at least 5 others on tumblr who hasn't got theirs yet. Hopefully we will find out soon and not have to wait til November to hear back. Let me know if you have any other questions, good luck!

Thanks so much! If you hear anything can you let me know?

Yes of course! Please do the same, and ill let you know if i find out about any of the people on tumblr who are waiting as well that I've been following who is in the same boat as us.

I have heard different things today though, i heard someone mention that Disney might be doing the WBI's in waves as to not overload the phone interview schedule. But as of yet I don't believe there is any proof of that, but only time will tell. Good luck, hopefully one of us hears back soon!

Friday night sounds like it was a bad night to apply. That is also when my daughter applied & has not received the wbi invite email. She's (of course like you guys) bummed that she hasn't gotten it. Last semester her sister got it minutes later & from what she's "heard" everyone else has gotten one. Good luck to all.

What is the common thread (if there is one) between all the people that have not been asked for a WBI?

I'm thinking things like: Have you applied to the DCP before? Are you a certain year in college? Do you have little or no work experience? Is your favorite villain Jafar?

There's got to be something that the computer is filtering. Maybe we can figure it out! (probably not)

The mouse is defintely sneaky, sneaky on how they do things.

I wonder if there's a difference in college selection? Was the college listed on the drop down menu? Maybe they don't count places like ITT tech or the Art Institute (those kind of for profit school that may or may not be accreditted.) or if you do select other, that its a real school.

What were the roles you chose?
Did you watch all the role videos?
Spring or spring adv?
I'm wondering too.

I still haven't got an email. I am going to a community college, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. But I did get an invitation for a character audition in October. My status still says "Submission" so I'm not sure what's going on. This is my first year in college and I put high interest for majority of the positions, so I don't think they're counting me out for that. If anyone hears anything, or gets a reply, please let me know!

I haven't ever applied to the program. and I have a decent amount of work experience. I'm not sure why I would get the invite to the audition but still not be asked to take the WBI.

My college is a community college so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I had to select other and type it in.

My boyfriend goes to a community college as well (though his was on the menu) and has yet to receive his wbi. It's his first year as well.

My son is a first semester freshman at a community college. He applied the first day (sept 5) and had his phone interview on Sept 7. he didn't have to do the WBI cuz he works for the Disney Store, so had filled one out for that. Right now, he is "in progress"....and waiting....

My D19 is going to Comm College, got the invitation for WBI in 2 hours
My S23 did it while in Comm College Spr Adv 2011

thanks everyone! I posted on their college board blog and they told me that not everyone is getting to take them now. I hope I get one!:guilty:

I applied on the 18th and I'm getting antsy. I really hope I get to the WBI.
