March 28 – April 1: Celebrating 40 years in 2016, Gregg Russell has become a Sea Pines classic. You’ll find him entertaining adults and children alike under the Liberty Oak in Harbour Town, 149 Lighthouse Rd. His concerts are not to be missed. From Monday, March 28 to Friday, April 1, Gregg Russell will return to entertain crowds from 7:30-9 p.m. These concerts are free and open to the public, but a entrance fee is required to access The Sea Pines Resort, where concert the is located. April 2: Hilton Head Islanders Shave Their Heads To Fight Kids’ Cancer

Mellow Mushroom of Hilton Head Island will host the fifth annual St. Baldrick’s headshaving fundraiser on Saturday, April 2 from 3pm -to 5pm.

Joe DiNovo of Joe’s Barbershop will lead the team of barbers shaving the heads of the Hilton Head area men, women and children, encouraging the community to support their action by making donations to their team.

In addition to the headshaving, the event will feature a silent auction and live music.

Volunteers can join a team or start their own team at: www.stbaldricks.org. Merchants who wish to help sponsor the event can call 843-476-4768 or email henrys1ups@gmail.com.

April 7: the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will present Commedia Princess and the Pea at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina at 9:30 a.m. & 11 a.m. Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale meets the comic storytelling of Italian Commedia dell’arte. A tiny pea under 20 mattresses is the queen’s final test to see if her beloved son’s chosen bride is worthy of his hand. April 23-24, the Hilton Head Island Boat Show returns to Windmill Harbour, which is known for some of the finest waters on the East Coast. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the gate. Free parking is available in several locations throughout the Windmill Harbour neighborhood, with free trolley shuttle service to the South Carolina Yacht Club.
