When was your first visit to the World?

First visit was summer 1990, my brother and I went to FL with my grandmother and her sister to visit my uncle, so he got us the FL resident discount passes. We did MK and DHS. Man I loved Star Tours back then!

Next visit was when my dad got remarried, and it was their honeymoon trip summer 1996. Stayed offsite for a week, and hit SeaWorld and Universal while there. I remember the wait to get into the Back to the Future ride was over 4 hours!

Next up was when I took my wife for her birthday/Valentine's day in 2007, and then again in 2010 while we were in town for Star Wars Celebration V.

Looking forward to sharing the magic with our DS next September!

1973 around Easter. My parents and I joined a family that my Dad worked with. They had a daughter a little older than me. In our family pictures, there is a photo of me sitting next to her. I have a huge smile on my face with a large Disney World (Magic Kingdom) park map spread out in front of us. She did not smile for the camera and seemed "Grumpy" throughout the entire trip. I still remember that it was the best one day vacation I ever had!

I'm sure that's how you/he remember it, but that never happened. Snopes

I think wdwjeffc37 was saying that his brother said it happened at another park, not at WDW or DL. Unless I misread the snopes article, it didn't mention accidents at non-Disney parks.

My first trip was February 23, 1992. Yes I remember the exact date! It's was the our honeymoon! I couldn't believe how beautiful the castle was.

We stayed off in Kissimmee. The first day we wanted to head to Magic Kingdom, as we drove it started to rain and no one was on the roads! We could believe that we get to the main gate and still empty. We put the radio on and it says HURRICANE TAKE COVER NOW!! We started to laugh and headed back to the hotel.

Great way to start a marriage!! Haha.

Our next trip we took our kids for their first trip in 2012 for our 20th anniversary! This trip was the best! See the face faces of the kids is something I will never forget!

January 1976. My parents had been in FL in 1970 and had been watching the construction, so they knew they had to take us one day. I was only 6, but I have clear memories of Space Mountain and 20,000 Leagues.

Dad and I went back for Spring Break in 1986... And then there was the long wait until last year when I could finally take my own kids. We are 69 days away from our next trip!

1998 right after AK opened. I was 3 almost 4 and rode Mr. Toads Wild ride a documented 23 times (counted by my dad in a trip report he typed up back in the day).

My first trip was also in 1979 when I chaperoned a Teen Club group from the junior high I taught at. We stayed off property at a Days Inn and had a lot of fun even with an 18 hour bus ride each way. We saw the construction of BTMRR and enjoyed two full days in the MK as well as Wet and Wild and Sea World.

Other than a few sunburns, the only bad thing happened to some of the chaperones with another Teen Club in our county on the same trip. Two of their 12 year old girls decided to skip one of the days at the park and instead changed into dressy clothes, put on quite a bit of makeup before heading to the Contemporary. Once there they 'attempted' to entice gentlemen to spend time with them for money. After being apprehended by Disney security they were put on a plane home at their parents' expense.

Years later I still remember joking with all the other chaperones that attempting to prostitute was a really stupid thing to do in general but especially at WDW since most of the men were there because they were vacationing with their families. :rolleyes1

January 1999. DH and I took our then 4 year-old DD on our very first family vacation, bringing along my mom too. It was the first time to Disney parks for all of us, and DH's first time on a plane (where we discovered he gets airsick LOL). We stayed at All-Star Movies - Dalmations - which had just opened. My sister, her DH and their son were also there, but they stayed at Contemporary.

The funniest memory of this trip was when DH and my BIL decided to spontaneously "race" the strollers (with the kids inside), up the ramps at the monorail. DH tripped and fell pretty much on his face, thus losing the race. :rotfl2: Thankfully he didn't get hurt, and we all still like to tease him about how he lost the stroller derby title. ;)
