Got a random message on FB from an old high school friend of mine and my brothers. Said, "Date, Faps. Be there!" He was coming home from NYC. So, I don't know of any bars or places called "Faps" around here, so thought maybe he was setting something up in Pittsburgh. So I'm scouring around Google maps looking for a place called "Faps."

Talk to my brother, "hey man, did he send to you? Where the heck is Faps?" Brother's like, "What? You remember Faps!. Shawn." Totally forgot as Shawn was my brother's age and they all had nicknames for each other while my group of friends did not have nicknames during the time our friend groups intertwined.

Then found out he lives just half a mile from me. Fantastic, brother doesn't have a car or license so I run down to the Burgh to pick him up and tell him he's staying at my place so we can walk to Faps and don't have to worry about driving home. We can stumble home through the woods. And that's what we did. Had a great time and stumbled through the woods home to sleep it off.

Probably December 2019, before the pandemic. Other than a club I belong to that resumed in person meetings in 2022, and "Celebrations of Life", have been to a social gathering since before the pandemic.

I go to a few birthday parties of my kids and grandkids regularly. Does the count because otherwise it has been over 50 years ago.

I guess it depends on the definition of "party". Just regular gatherings w/hanging out etc... last weekend.

As far as pink flamingos in the pool, smelling like a mini bar, dj passed out on the yard, Barbie on the bbq, it's been several years.

My nephew’s 11th birthday party last month. My Mom’s surprise 80th birthday party is tomorrow.

I can't even remember the last "Party" I went to... probably about 10-15 years ago.!!

A few weeks ago, an annual one before our Saint Patrick’s day parade, nice Irish breakfast, Irish coffee, shots being passed, usually around 100 people, I missed another two weeks ago, but that annual one is a bit bigger with a heated tent (and a huge house). Both had bagpipers of course.
