When was the last time you ran out of patience with someone?

When I worked in retail, my patience with customers/guests was very thin to begin with. They were rude, inconsiderate, treated you like you were trash. That's when my patience for people in general died. You?

Probably a month ago, a coworker. She had been a bully for years.

She is GONE now thank God. The multiple complaints to HR didn’t help, but she finally got mad and quit over some other reason. I’m just glad she is gone.

At my company we call that "self-selecting out of a corporate-cultural non-alignment" and it's cause for rejoicing!! party:

Wednesday, with 3 separate members of my immediate family, along with my late husbands ex wife

I can't recall, I am as patient as anyone you've ever known, not sure if that's a virtue but that how it is.:)

I got cross at someone on the boards when I was in the wrong and I (eventually) admitted that a while back. Still feel bad about that and I hope I haven't scared them off. I can't remember who it was. Oh, and a long time ago I ran out of patience with another poster but walked away, put them on ignore and had done with it.

A few days ago. I was walking to the restroom in a department store, all of a sudden there is a woman behind me, too close actually. And she says “I hope there’s more than one stall in there cause I gotta pee too!” Really? Good grief. I have no patience for crap like that. I was shocked she even said that.

A few weeks ago on the last day of school with my class of 4th/5th graders. They all have disabilities and some have terrible situations at home. I am ultra-patient and always keep it together when they have behavioral issues. The last day was just too much for our classroom staff. We had planned a fun day and the kids got lots of extra stuff. We snuck in cupcakes (no outside food allowed in our district). We raffled off a bunch of cool stuff. I had brought bubble wands for the kids to use over the summer. I drew names randomly and they came up
and chose the color they wanted. I get to M (who is never satisfied and always wants more more more) and the color he wanted was gone. So rather than just choose what was left (of the cool bubble wands that I had purchased with my own money), he had to say, “I wanted green!” I said, “Well the green ones are gone but you can choose blue, yellow or purple.” He said, “I don’t want those. Will someone give me a green one!” The class was silent. Then he says, “Why don’t I get the one I want? It’s not fair!” At that point, I had had it! When I brought the class chocolate coins from Disneyland the same kid said, “Oh. I thought you were going to bring us something cool.” When I said they could each choose two coins he said, “Can I have three? Or can I at least have the Disneyland bag too?” At least?

So I told M that I would choose a color for him and he could get it at the end of the day. We went outside and let the kids play with their wands for a few minutes, but M didn’t have one. Oh well! I put a purple one in his backpack before he went home. Then he said, “Well can I at least have blue?”🤦🏻‍♀️

It takes a lot for me to lose patience. I was on a call with my Mom's credit card company after she passed away. The man kept telling me that I had to take her death certificate into the branch to have it sent to them in order for them to be able to speak to them. I kept telling him that the branch has it and it's updated in its systems. I did this after my first attempt to speak to them. If he called them, they would validate this. He kept repeating, from a script, that I had to take it into the branch. I asked if he'd heard of customer service. He repeated himself again. I told him where he could shove his thoughts on CS and I hung up on him.

Yesterday. A friend was throwing a birthday party for her husband. She had a chef come in to make the food and provided plenty of beverage options. Sounds great, right? But it was all outside on a 95 degree day. There was minimal shade and not enough seating. She kept shooing everyone outside if we went in the house to cool off. We stayed for an hour and then I told my husband I couldn't take it anymore. I was so sweaty and sticky! No one was really eating the food because it was all heavy stuff like mac n cheese. I felt a little bad that she had put so much effort into it and it wasn't being enjoyed, but come on...it's June in the south. We need air conditioning!

Yeah, the only way an outdoor party in June in the South is acceptable is if it's a pool party.

I'm pretty darn patient all the time, and I've made it an art form to act perfectly patient, when inside my head I'm screaming with impatience - it's something you learn to do after working with the public for 37 years.

When was the last time I showed my impatience :scratchin
It was on Saturday - my DH did a dumb move while he was driving and I let him know it - LOL!!!

My boss hired 2 very close personal friends. One is OK, the other one is just a dim bulb. Actually, perhaps the bulb isn’t even on, so not even a dim bulb. This person also babysits here kiddos.

We can’t complain, either to her, or boss’s boss, it only irritates my boss, and the rest of team gets yelled at. :(

So, today is my answer to question in the post.

I feel like the shorter list would be when was the last day I DIDN'T run out of patience with someone. It's either someone at work, or my kids lol. Perimenopause is doing a number on my patience and temper lately.
