When to send out STDs and Invitations

I was just curious as to when everyone sent out their STDs and invitations. Our wedding is still about 14 months away, but I wasn't sure if I should be sending anything out anytime soon or if I should wait.

To give you my time frame: Disney sent out our Save-the-Dates at our 1 year mark and then I sent out the invitations at 4 months out. It's all preference, though. I guess it depends how far everyone is traveling and if they know yet!

My STDs went out about 7 months out. My invites will go out at the 4 month mark or so.

Our wedding is at the end of Feb, and we sent out our STDs the last week in July.

We're going to send out the invites towards the end of Oct - earlier than I would normally, but once Thanksgiving hits, people will be busy and traveling, so I'd rather get their RSVP before the insanity hits.

That's why I'm sending mine out end of this month/early September and asking for them to be back by end of October. I don't want my RSVPs to get caught up in the holiday madness

I enclosed our STDs with our Christmas cards last year. Our invitations went out this past Saturday - the venue wants a count by September 17 (the wedding is on October 15th)!
